Such inserts are in the form of edge-defining members that attach to the grooves defined by the contours of road barriers already in use on roads and highways, or are shaped during manufacturing. It can be attached to a steel plate for road barrier construction. The insert member can be attached longitudinally to concrete road barriers of various shapes, and the optimum attachment means is a rivet type or a simple adhesive type, depending on the purpose. Up to. The Applicant has already filed Italian Patent Application No. MI91A002635, which contains in part a concept for the purposes of the present invention. The present invention is intended to further improve the invention of the above application. In this regard, not only highway ramps and connecting roads, but almost all roads and highways are equipped with horizontally extending road barriers made of steel plates with a constant profile. The road barrier is suitably supported by vertical stanchions or concrete casings and is intended to absorb vehicle collisions and prevent the vehicle from leaving the road. The horizontal road barrier has been gradually developed in recent years, has an appropriately defined contour according to predetermined deformation and absorbing load, and is easy to assemble and restore a safe condition after an accident. You are at a certain stage. However, the improvements do not include horizontal inserts that help to absorb impacts or reduce damage to the vehicle due to contact between the vehicle and the road barrier. A fire can even occur because of sparks caused by friction with the barrier. Moreover, there has never been a reflective horizontal insert for the purpose of continuously displaying road boundaries, dangerous curves, undulations, and service areas. It is only used with the stanchions. It can be said that the present invention provides a suitable solution to the above-mentioned problems, since a technically perfect safety road barrier can be constructed by merely modifying the road barrier already in use. The present invention relates to an improved safety road barrier, characterized in that it comprises one or more longitudinal elastic members which partially cover the road barrier, the elastic member being used in the road barrier. By doing so, the collision force of the vehicle at the time of an accident can be more gently absorbed, and damage due to impact and friction between the vehicle and the road barrier can be suppressed. The elastic members are one or more horizontal edge defining members formed of rubber or a similar material. The edge-defining member may be contoured appropriately for use with existing safety road barriers, or steel with various contours to create new types of road barriers. It may be provided with various contours so that it can be used for a plate. In any case, the usual design parameters, such as absorption rate, burst strength, deformation limit, etc., which are stipulated in the ordinances enforced in each region regarding vehicle traffic safety must be satisfied at all times. The above and other features of the present invention will be further clarified in the following detailed description, but this description is given for the purpose of explanation only and does not limit the scope of the present invention. The illustrations used are as follows: FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a road barrier according to the present invention, which is obtained by applying a longitudinal edge-defining member to a known type sheet metal safety road barrier already in use. FIG. 2 shows a cross section of another horizontal road barrier made of sheet metal, provided with two rubber longitudinal edge-defining members, attached by screwed vertical members. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a road barrier similar to that of FIG. 2, in which a horizontal frame is fitted with a rubber edge defining member with a collision area having a tubular section. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a further modified contour of the road barrier, which is provided with two rubber horizontal edge defining members having dovetail-shaped connecting portions. 5 is a cross-sectional view of a road barrier having a contour similar to that of FIG. 4, but with only one horizontal rubber edge-defining member and the cross section of the dovetail connection shown in FIG. Bigger than that. FIG. 6 shows, as an example, a sectional view of a known type road barrier, in which a horizontal protective elastic edge-defining member is used. FIG. 7 shows an example of a new type of road barrier, which is provided with two horizontal edge defining members according to the invention. FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view of a concrete road barrier having two longitudinal edge defining members. In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 1, a horizontal edge-defining member 1 is provided which has an outer shape which matches the outer shape of a road barrier 2 of the known type. Therefore, by using an appropriate means, the edge defining member can be used for a road barrier already used, and a more functional road barrier can be obtained. In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 2, the safety road barrier 4 is formed in a contour with two horizontal housing frames 5 and allows the mounting of an equal number of rubber edge defining members 6. Then, it can be properly fixed by the vertical screw member 7. In FIG. 3, the present invention uses a horizontal edge defining member 8 as a first modified example of the example shown in FIG. 2, and a portion for dynamic absorption of the impact has a cylindrical contour. Part 9 is shown. The tubular portion allows initial deformation at the time of impact, thereby eliminating the influence on the road barrier itself and thereby suppressing serious damage to the vehicle. 4, the present invention uses, as a second modification, a road barrier 10 having a contour similar to that of FIG. 3, but with an edge defining member 11 for dovetail connection and a corresponding frame 12. Therefore, in the case of a collision, the present embodiment has better stability. 5, according to another variant of the invention, a road barrier similar to that shown in FIG. 4 can be manufactured, but with a single frame 13 and a corresponding dovetail joint. A rubber longitudinal edge defining member 14 is provided, the cross section of which is larger than that of FIG. As is apparent from the various figures, and in particular FIGS. 6 and 7, the use of metal-made stanchions 15 and corresponding threaded members 16 in the assembly of the road barriers 17 described above can be used on roads and highways. The same is true for all known and widely used safety road barriers. As already mentioned, one or more strips of reflective, phosphorescent or fluorescent action may be glued to the road barriers described above in order to provide a horizontal indication as specified in traffic regulations. You may draw with paint. Thus, the reflective strips are useful as a complement to the various means needed for directional indications, such as in the case of night fog or poor visibility, at road boundaries and / or at specific locations. It is especially useful for indicating hazardous areas. Examples of such strips are depicted in FIG. 4 (center strip 18 and edge strip 19), FIG. 6 (strip element 19), and FIG. 7 (center strip 18). Further, when the rubber protective member covers a wide area of the road barrier, the road barrier can be protected from rust by this, so that a sight with a rusty road barrier that spoils the appearance is not seen. . The rubber used at this time must be sufficiently resistant to corrosion by atmospheric substances, acids and salts. According to yet another embodiment, the rubber edging member and the reflective strip are made of concrete by using optimal fastening means such as stretch bolts, adhesives (not shown) or dovetail connections. It can also be used for the member 20. FIG. 8 shows in detail one of the road barriers 20 thus obtained. This barrier comprises two longitudinal edge-defining members 21, which are attached by the means as just described. By changing the fixing means, such an insertion member 21 can be used for both the road barrier member already in use and the road barrier member in the manufacturing process. In yet another embodiment according to the present invention, the longitudinal elastic edge defining member is formed of rubber containing as constituent a component suitable for providing a fluorescent effect. In this case, it does not matter whether the road barrier is made of a metal plate or concrete. By manufacturing in this way, it is clear that an optimal visibility of the road barrier at night can be achieved, which makes it possible to effectively exert the road direction indicating function without the use of other components. You can It should be noted that the above embodiments are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and various modifications, additions, variations or replacements of the constituent members may be carried out within the spirit or scope of the present invention as described in the appended claims. Any of these can be applied to the present invention without modification or without exceeding the scope of protection thereof.
