Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.フレーム(39)がノードの入力及び出力境界の両方にバッファされそして 転送されるべきフレーム(39)に関連した仮想チャンネルが決定されるようにし てフレーム中継ネットワーク内の渋滞を管理する方法において、 ネットワークサービスを遅延及びフレームスループット確率に基づいて異なる クラス(1,2,3)に分類し、そして 各サービスクラスに対して特定のバッファ(44a...44d,45a...45d,64a...64d )を経てノードにフレームを送ることを特徴とする方法。 2.上記ネットワークサービスは3つの主たるサービスクラスに分割され、第 1のサービスクラス(1)は遅延を短く保持する対話サービスを与え、第2のサ ービスクラス(2)は遅延はあまり厳密でないが低いフレームロス確率を与え、 そして第3のサービスクラス(3)は短い遅延と低いフレームロス確率の両方を 与える請求項1に記載の方法。 3.第3のサービスクラスのバッファは、他のクラスよりもより頻繁に読み取 られる請求項1に記載の方法。 4.フレームは、加入者ノードの入力境界において各仮想チャンネルに特定の バッファ(62l....62n)にバッファされる請求項1に記載の方法。 5.各渋滞したリソースから特定の仮想接続の外部ノードへ送信される渋滞通 知(M)に専用の更に別のサービスクラスがあり、加入者(S)からのトラフィッ クは、仮想チャンネルに特定のバッファ(62l....62n)にフレームをバッファす ることにより外部ノードにおいて調整される請求項4に記載の方法。 6.ノードの入力境界にある入力バッファと、ノードの出力境界にある出力バ ッファと、その入力バッファから所望の出力バッファへフレームを送る手段(16 )とを備えたフレーム中継ネットワークのノードにおいて、 仮想チャンネルに対応するサービスクラス(1,2,3)を記憶する手段(T)と、 各データリンク接続ごとに特定に少なくともノードの出力境界に設けられた各 定義されたサービスクラスに対する少なくとも1つのバッファ(45a,64a;45b,64 b;45c,65c)とを備えたことを特徴とするノード。 7.各仮想チャンネルに特定のバッファ(62l....62n)がノードの入力境界に 設けられる請求項6に記載の加入者ノード。 8.各サービスクラスに特定のバッファ(44a...44d)もノードの入力境界に 設けられる請求項6に記載のトランクノード。 9.他のサービスクラスに生じるものよりも短い遅延を生じるサービスクラス のバッファは、他のサービスクラスのバッファよりも短い請求項6に記載のノー ド。
