The waterproof structure for a thatched roof according to the present invention has the structure as described above, and the fastening surface is formed at a position higher than the ground, and the lateral roof is attached to the fastening surface. Since the fasteners for fixing the material are struck, the infiltrating rainwater flows onto the lower field material without staying near the holes in the fasteners. Therefore, even when a storm such as a typhoon occurs, rainwater is prevented from entering the inside through the holes of the fasteners that fasten the roofing roofing material.
