Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the unsightliness in a log house and maintain preserve the traditional beauty of woodiness for the log house by a method wherein a pillar bolt conventionally fixed to an upright pillar in order to absorb subsidence of walls which may occur to the log house with the passage of time is made inconspicuous or completely concealed from view by moving the position of fixing the pillar bolt form the lower part to the upper part of the upright pillar and by covering the pillar bolt with covers. CONSTITUTION:A mortice 4 is provided to a wall body or the lower half of a log connected to the wall body facing the upper bed of an upright pillar 2 of a log house, and a head plate 5a of a pillar bolt 5 is fixed to the flat bottom of the mortice 4 while an adjustment hole for the pillar bolt is provided to the upper bed of the upright pillar 2. The pillar bolt 5, with an adjustment nut 6 screwed down to the middle part thereof, is inserted into the adjustment hole, and a space surrounded with both side faces of the mortice 4 and the upper bed of the upright pillar 2 is covered with covers 8 formed with a curvature the same as that of a log 3, and thereby subsidence of walls peculiar to the log house can be absorbed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pillar bolt device installed in a vertical column in a log house to absorb the sinking of the wall peculiar to the log house over time.

2. Description of the Related Art In a log house, it is necessary to assemble a pillar bolt device (jack) on a vertical column in order to absorb the sinking (settling) of the entire wall peculiar to the log house. As described above, according to the present invention, the pillar bolt device for settling in the log house is moved from the lower part to the upper part of the vertical column so as to be inconspicuous, and further, the metal exposed part of the part is provided on both sides.
