リビニルピロリドン等の合成系水溶性高分子化合物等の
アニオン性及び非イオン性水溶性高分子化合物が挙げら
れ、これらの中でもセルロース系水溶性高分子化合物、
ガム系水溶性高分子化合物が好ましい。さらに好ましく
はキサンタンガムである。キサンタンガムは炭水化物を
キサントモナス属菌を用いて発酵させて得られる多糖類
であり、化粧品原料として汎用されているものである。
上記水溶性高分子の含有量は染毛料中0.1〜1.5重
量%、好ましくは0.3〜1.0重量%である。上記含
有量が0.1重量%未満であると、充分な粘度が得られ
ず、また1.5重量%以上であると含有量の増加に伴う
