整することにより前記目的を達成する染毛料が得られる
ことを知見した。

カルボキシビニルポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、ポ
リビニルピロリドン等の合成系水溶性高分子化合物等の
アニオン性及び非イオン性水溶性高分子化合物が挙げら
れ、これらの中でもセルロース系水溶性高分子化合物、
ガム系水溶性高分子化合物が好ましい。さらに好ましく
はキサンタンガムである。キサンタンガムは炭水化物を
キサントモナス属菌を用いて発酵させて得られる多糖類
であり、化粧品原料として汎用されているものである。
上記水溶性高分子の含有量は染毛料中0.1〜1.5重
量%、好ましくは0.3〜1.0重量%である。上記含有
量が0.1重量%未満であると,充分な粘度が得られ
ず、また1.5重量%以上であると含有量の増加に伴う
効果の向上がみられない。

おそれがあり、また染料含有量の増加に伴う染毛効果の
向上もみられない。 本発明の染毛料の(c)成分であ
るベントナイトは、天然に産するコロイド性含水ケイ酸
アルミニウムであり化粧品原料として汎用されている。
上記ベントナイトの含有量は染毛料中3.0〜10.0重
量%、好ましく4.0〜8.0重量%である。上記含有
量が3.0%以下では、満足のいく粘度が得られず、ま
た10.0重量%以上では染毛料ベースが固くなり使用
性に難がある。

ず、15.0重量%以上では安全性に問題があり、また
含有量の増加に伴う効果の増強も見られない。また、本
発明の染毛料のpHは1.0〜3.0、好ましくは1.0
〜2.5に調整する。pH3.0以上では充分な染毛効果
が得られないからである。上記pHの調整は、例えば乳
酸、酒石酸 、グリコール酸、クエン酸、シュウ酸等の
有機酸又は、リン酸、塩酸等の無機酸を用いて行えばよ
い。また本発明の染毛料には系の安定性、pH値を損な
わない範囲であれば前記の必須成分の他に、低級アルコ
ール、多価アルコール、防腐剤、キレート剤、紫外線吸
収剤、香料等を適宜配合することができる。本発明の染
毛料を用いて毛髪等の角質繊維の染色を実施するには、
例えば本発明の染毛料を角質繊維に15〜50℃で適用
し、1〜30分前後の作用時間をおいた後、角質繊維を
洗浄し乾燥すればよい。

で10分間放置した後、毛髪を通常のシャンプーで洗浄
し、乾燥して、染毛性及び処理した毛髪のしなやかさを
官能評価した。又、これら染毛料を40保温器に3ヶ
月放置した後の安定性についても評価した。その結果を
表1、表2に示した。表1、表2から明らかなように、本
発明の染毛料は染毛性、しあがり、安定性とも良好な結
果が得られた。
