Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber mat for melting snow and a road-surface paving material easy to melt snow on a road surface by mixing granularly crushed charcoal into rubber chips acquired by working a vulcanized rubber and unifying the rubber chips and charcoal by a binder. CONSTITUTION: A rubber mat for melting snow is prepared in such a manner that granularly crushed charcoal is mixed into rubber chips obtained by working a vulcanized rubber in a granular shape or a short fiber shape and the rubber chips are crosslinked by a binder such as urethane and worked tabularly, and the rubber mat is fixed onto the surface of a road surface by using an adhesive or studs such as anchor bolts. Granular substances having a mean diameter of 0.5-30mm or short fibrous substances having the mean diameter of 0.1-5mm and length of 2-50mm are selected as the rubber chips. On the other hand, a road surface shape is partitioned in a fixed area, and an un-crosslinked material is flowed into the partitions, and crosslinked, and the upper section of the road surface is paved and worked with the material as a paving material. The rubber chips give elasticity and strength to the rubber mat, and charcoal takes charge of heat accumulation. Melted snow is flowed under the rubber mat or the paving material, thus preventing freezing due to a subsequent temperature drop.

2. Description of the Related Art In the technology of melting snow accumulated on the road surface of a snow country, water or warm water is passed through a pipe buried along the road surface, and this is discharged through a hole formed in the pipe to melt the snow. Dust is being done. However, this is effective only on the road surface in which the pipe is buried, and this requires a very large amount of cost, and is not a technique capable of melting the snow easily regardless of the place.

However, many heating elements are operated by passing electricity, and those having the heating element inside impose a large running cost burden on the electricity bill. Further, in order to install this on the road, the capital investment for electric wiring, power transmission line, etc. becomes large, and there are many failures such as disconnection, etc., and the cost for maintenance becomes large.

The rubber chip which is the base material of the present invention is usually a tire or an industrial rubber product which is processed into granules, which can be effectively used as a used tire. On the other hand, charcoal as a heat storage material is a material that is very environmentally friendly and inexpensive in cost because it is made by processing driftwood and thinned wood that gather in dams. Most of this charcoal itself is a car
It is made of bon (carbon) and is a material with excellent heat absorption, heat storage, and light absorption. Thus, it can be seen that the charcoal used as the heat storage material in the present invention is the best in terms of cost, performance and environment.

The average particle size of the rubber chips as the base material of the snow melting rubber mat and the snow melting road surface pavement material is preferably 0.
5 to 300 mm granular material or average diameter 0.1 to 5 mm,
It is a short fibrous material having a length of 2 to 50 mm, which imparts elasticity and strength to a rubber mat or the like, and is limited in terms of reducing vibration to a vehicle and further easily mixing with charcoal. The rubber chip actually used in the present invention is a chip made by scraping a waste rubber product. Therefore, although it has a granular material, it tends to be a fibrous material.

The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. (Examples 1 to 3) As Example 1, an average diameter of 1 to 2 mm,
50 parts by weight of rubber chips having a length of 5 to 10 mm were mixed with 50 parts by weight of charcoal having a particle size of 1 to 5 mm to prepare a rubber mat for snow melting having a thickness of 20 mm with 37.5 parts by weight of urethane binder. That is, the structure of the rubber mat for snow melting is
A rubber chip is used as a base material and granular charcoal is mixed therein, and this is hardened with a binder such as urethane. The rubber chips give elasticity and strength to the rubber mat, and the charcoal is responsible for heat storage. Then, these are integrated with a gap, and the gap ensures the water permeability. This water permeability is an important factor required for today's pavement materials, and the thawed snow that flows down prevents freezing due to the subsequent temperature drop.

The following points have been clarified by the above test. A. Even if the outside air temperature is below zero, the rubber mat according to the present invention can only drop to zero. Further, even when the outside air temperature is extremely lowered (for example, -10 ° C), the temperature on the mat is only around 0 ° C. I. If the snow accumulates only a few centimeters, it will either melt immediately or the sun will come out and it will melt immediately. C. When a large amount of snow is suddenly piled up, the snow cannot be melted, but the temperature on the rubber mat is around 0 ° C., so it is very easy to shovel, and there is no residual snow or freezing of water after shoveling. D. Even in winter, if the sun comes out during the day, the temperature on the rubber mat will be 3
It becomes 0 degrees or more. E. In particular, if the weather was fine until the previous day, the temperature on the rubber mat will be kept above zero even if there is snow the next day, and the conditions for snow melting will be easily satisfied.
