First, the depositing / dispensing shutter 7 is closed, and the receiving tray 9 is rotated around the central shaft 11 by a drive mechanism (not shown) to move upward, so that the inserted coins are collectively placed on the rotating disc 12 of the separating unit 10. Move it as if to drop. Next, the rotating disc 12 is rotated by the motor 17, and the rotating disc is rotated by the centrifugal force.
12 Move the coin above to the periphery. Then, the thickness regulating plate 14 separates the coins one by one in the thickness direction, and sends the coins to the conveying path 18. The separation unit 10 is provided with a residual detection sensor 19 composed of a pair of light emitting and receiving elements, and when all coins are sent to the transport path 18, the residual detection sensor 19 is installed.
The end of separation is detected by 19.

Also, at the time of withdrawal, the withdrawal coin set in the withdrawal coin storage unit 31 is thrown out from the bottom of the storage unit 31 onto the belt 32, sandwiched with the other belt 33, and pressure-fed to the separating unit 10. To do.
After that, the coins for withdrawal on the rotary disk 12 of the separating unit 10 are sent out to the transport path 18 in the same manner as when depositing. Then, it is guided to the reject conveyance path 25 by the reject gate 24 through the discriminating section 21, sandwiched by the two belts 26 and 27, and sent to the tray 9 of the receiving section 8 to open the deposit / withdrawal shutter 7 and hand it to the customer.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> However, in the coin depositing / dispensing machine, if an inseparable foreign matter, such as a bill, a precious metal, or a waste paper, is mistakenly thrown together with the coin and remains in the separating unit 10, the transaction is canceled. However, it cannot be resumed until a person removes the residual foreign matter. Suppose that the deposit / withdrawal shutter 7 is opened and the tray 9 is rotated to an appropriate position so that the residual foreign matter can be picked up from the coin deposit / withdrawal port 6 by hand, and the customer is urged to receive it by CRT or voice. Even so, if the customer does not receive the residual foreign matter for some reason such as not being able to find the residual foreign matter, the operator must wait for the removal work. Therefore, there is a problem in that the operation rate of the automatic teller machine or the like provided with the coin depositing / dispensing machine is remarkably reduced during the holiday operation when there are no employees.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention has been proposed in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, and includes a receiving unit that receives coins that are collectively inserted from a coin deposit port, and coins that are collectively inserted into this receiving unit. A coin depositing device including a separating part for separating the coins one by one, and a foreign matter collecting part provided adjacent to the separating part, the coin depositing device being openably and closably provided between the receiving part and the separating part. A partition shutter for integrally or separating the space between the reception unit and the separation unit, and when the presence of foreign matter that cannot be separated in the separation unit is detected, the partition shutter is opened, and when foreign matter is not removed from the separation unit. The control unit controls the transfer of the foreign matter from the separating unit to the foreign matter collecting unit.

Further, a rectangular plate-shaped partition shutter 60 is used as a partition member provided between the reception unit 8 and the separation unit 10.
The partition shutter 60 has a shaft 61 on one side of the plate member 59.
A motor rotatably supported by a shaft and connected to a shaft 61.
Rotate by 62. Then, when the partition shutter 60 is rotated to a substantially vertical state to be in the open state, the reception section 8 and the separation section 10 become an integral space without a partition. By using such a partition shutter 60, when foreign matter remains in the separating portion 10, it is easy to visually check the inside of the separating portion 10 through the coin deposit / withdrawal port 6, and the hand can be easily inserted into the separating portion 10. Then you can remove the foreign matter.

Then, when the foreign matter and the reject coin in the separation unit 10 are received within the predetermined time, the separation counting operation is ended. When the receiving is not performed, both shutters 7 and 60 are closed (S-10), and the storing operation from the intake gate 52 (S-6 to 8) described above is performed, and the foreign matter remaining in the separating unit 10 is removed. And the reject coin are stored together in the foreign matter storage unit 58, and the separation counting operation is completed. The foreign matter and reject coins stored in the foreign matter storage unit 58 are separately disposed as unnecessary for the customer. By such an operation, the foreign matter does not remain in the separation unit 10 and the subsequent transactions can be continued.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, in the coin depositing device of the present invention, even if an inseparable foreign substance is mistakenly inserted and remains in the separating portion, the customer himself / herself inserts his / her hand without providing a complicated mechanism. The remaining foreign matter can be easily received. In addition, even if the customer never receives the foreign matter, the remaining foreign matter can be stored in the foreign matter storage unit and the transaction can be continued. That is, there is no need to stop the automatic teller machine or the like provided with this coin depositing / dispensing machine to remove foreign matter in the separating section, and the operating rate of the automatic teller machine or the like is not reduced.
