Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a sticker which make the inner side hardly visible but at least visible from the outer side and makes the outer side visible well from the inner side and is capable of expressing bright and impressive patterns by providing this sticker with many through-holes penetrating a base plate, solid printing and pattern printing. CONSTITUTION:This sticker is produced by subjecting one surface of the base plate 1 consisting of a plastic film colored to a dark color to solid printing 2 with hiding ink, subjecting the surface thereof to solid printing 3 and pattern printing 4 of bright color ink to from the patterns, providing the base plate with the through-holes 7 over the entire part, applying an adhesive or tacky adhesive 5 on the printed surface and pressing a release film 6 thereon. Many through-holes 7 are formed by means, such as punching press. The sizes and arrangement of the through-holes 7 are arbitrary and the regular arrangement of circular holes of proper diameters suffices. The patterns are not impaired and favorable results are obtd, in terms of ease of seeing-through if many holes of small diameters are formed. The range of 10 to 50% is adequate as the area ratio of the through holes 7 from the viewpoint of the harmony of the light shieldability with the see-through property.

In a light-shielding sheet capable of seeing through a large number of through-holes, it is natural that the larger the area ratio of the through-holes is, the higher the transparency is. However, there are a lot of people who want high transparency from the inside to the outside and low transparency from the opposite side to the inside. To meet this desire, there is a proposal that the relationship between the hole diameter of the through holes and the pitch should be selected in the range of 0.8 to 2.0 mm to form the holes in an orderly manner (JP-A-55-57802).
As a means for attaching the light-shielding sheet to the window, a double-sided adhesive tape is only taught to be attached to the edge. However, such a sticking method is not suitable for sticking to the window of an automobile, and a double-sided adhesive tape is generally not preferable because the adhesive tends to remain when peeled off.

[0004] Stickers attached to the windows of automobiles are mainly used for advertisements and some kind of display. Therefore, the patterns on the outside are a problem, and they are required to be clear and eye-catching. , There is often no need for a picture on the inside. Moreover, it is often desirable that the inside is not very visible from the outside, but it is not allowed to be invisible. In addition, it must not reflect light, must adhere to the entire surface of the window, have high weather resistance, and be easy to replace.

In a typical example of the above-mentioned embodiment, a black-colored polyester film is used as the base material 1, and solid printing 2 of the concealing ink is carried out using a white ink, and characters and patterns are red ink. The solid printing 3 and the pattern printing 4 using gold ink are combined. If necessary for performing solid printing 2 of white ink, an appropriate primer layer 8 may be provided on the base film 1.

A second embodiment of the see-through sticker of the present invention is, as shown in FIG. 3, a base material 1 made of a dark colored plastic film, and a character or pattern formed by pattern printing 4 of a light ink. A transparent sheet-like body, which is formed by laminating a printing layer, an adhesive or pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 5 and a release film 6 in this order, and has a large number of through holes 7 penetrating at least each layer of the substrate 1 and the pattern printing 4. It is a transparent sticker that can be attached to.

The large number of through holes 7 are provided by means such as a punch press. The size and arrangement of the through holes are arbitrary. For example, circular holes having an appropriate diameter may be regularly arranged according to the known technique described above. It is preferable to use a large number of small-diameter ones because it does not spoil the design and is easy to see through.
The area ratio of the through holes is appropriately in the range of 10 to 50%, and preferably in the range of 25 to 40%, in view of the balance between the transparency and the light shielding property.

A pressure sensitive adhesive or adhesive may optionally be selected, but a preferred example is an aqueous acrylic emulsion type pressure sensitive adhesive. This type of adhesive has the advantage that it can be easily applied to the sticker material after perforation without squeezing out into the holes, the sticker is easy to stick, and does not remain after peeling.

In the use of the sticker of the present invention, needless to say, the release film 6 is peeled off to expose the surface of the adhesive or pressure-sensitive adhesive, and this is attached to the window. You can see the outside from the inside of the sticker on the window,
The inside is not very visible from the outside, and the outside is not reflective, so the inside is dark and the outside tends to be light. If the outside is colored brightly, a person who sees from the outside receives a relatively large amount of light, so the light coming out from the inside through the through hole becomes relatively weak, and the area ratio of the through hole is high. Even if you select it, you can hardly see the inside. On the contrary, from the inside, since it is a dark color, the light from the surface of the sticker is a little, and only the light from the outside that enters through the through hole.
By doing so, the area ratio of the through holes can be made high, so that it is possible to enhance the visibility of seeing the outside from the inside.

On the outside of the sticker, in the first mode, letters and patterns are marked on a bright background with a bright ink such as gold, and in the second mode, a bright pattern is printed on a dark background. In this case, the characters and patterns are marked, and by selecting the area ratio of the through holes in an appropriate range, both can be drawn as a pattern that draws attention, and the purpose of using the sticker can be achieved.

EXAMPLE A black-colored polyester (polyethylene terephthalate) film having a thickness of 75 μm is used as a base material,
After coating a primer on the surface, solid printing was performed with a white ink obtained by adding titanium white to an acrylic resin binder to form a hiding layer. After solid printing of red ink and pattern printing of gold ink were performed thereon, through holes were provided in which circular holes having a diameter of 1.0 mm were arranged in a zigzag pattern (area ratio of the through holes was 38%).

A water-based acrylic emulsion type pressure-sensitive adhesive was applied on the printed surface, and a highly transparent polypropylene film was applied as a release film. According to the shape of the upper part of the rear window frame of the car to be pasted, this material is punched into a slender sea cucumber shape with a gently curved upper edge, a straight lower edge, and the left and right edges. A transparent sticker of the present invention was obtained.

When the transparent sticker of the present invention is used by being attached to the window of an automobile, the inside cannot be seen so much when viewed from the outside, and the characters and patterns composed of vivid color combinations look impressive. From the inside, the outside is clearly visible and does not hinder driving. By properly selecting the adhesive, it is easy to attach and replace, and the adhesive does not remain on the glass.
