Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform printing in a paper sheet having the width below a printable minimum with and not printable by an EPSON-made color ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION: By providing an auxiliary guide in a right side of a printer, a part less than a printable minimum width is compensated. The auxiliary guide is made mountable/demountable and removed when printed ordinarily paper. A right side metal plate of the printer is interposed by a clip part 1 of the guide, and a protrusion part 2 of the guide is inserted to a hole for such as removing a screw for maintenance, to fix the guide. A light material is used so as to prevent applying a burden to a main unit.

[Industrial application] The present invention enables printing on paper that is less than the minimum paper width that cannot be printed by EPSON color inkjet printers.

2. Description of the Related Art A color inkjet printer made by EPSON cannot print on a paper having a postcard width (100 mm) or less, and its use range is limited.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The invention has been invented to expand the range of applications such as printing on business card paper that cannot be printed only by 9 mm shortage and printing on envelopes (long size 4) that cannot be printed because 10 mm shortage.

[Means for solving the problem] When the paper is fed, the paper is detected on the left side, and when the paper is not on the 100 mm line, the printer automatically ejects the paper. Therefore, by attaching a guide that is originally attached only to the left side to the right side and setting the paper by moving it to the left, even if the width of the paper is less than 100 mm, the paper will come to the 100 mm line.
