[0003] In this type of fragrance tool, it is an important need for the fragrance-maintaining property (hereinafter abbreviated as "fragrance-keeping property") of a refreshing agent that is easy to volatilize, as a commodity, and the conventional fragrance-protecting property is required. There are two main technical ideas for improvement. One is a means for suppressing the volatility of a fragrance by using a specific compound in combination with the fragrance (eg, JP-B-43-28077).
The other is a means for filling a cooling agent-impregnated fiber material in a synthetic resin or resin film laminated paper material tubular body and sealing most of the openings at both ends of the tubular body (eg, Actual fairness 1-3308).

However, the configuration disclosed in the former is for the purpose of imparting scent to smoking when smoking, and since the perfume-containing portion is only the filter portion, the fragrance to the volume of the contained portion is lost. The surface area is large, and although there is an improvement in the fragrance preparation liquid, the aroma retaining property is considerably limited.

In the latter construction, the tubular body is non-breathable, and most of its both ends are welded and sealed, so that the escape of aroma can be considerably suppressed, but the ventilation resistance during inhalation is reduced. It tends to be too large, and it becomes difficult to obtain the fragrance amount that can be felt. Moreover, along with the texture and mouth feel,
There is a big sense of discomfort that is different from cigarettes. For example, when trying to use it as a smoking cessation or smoke-saving substitute, it is very difficult to get used to. Further, with such a structure, it is difficult to apply the process of high productivity because it cannot be manufactured by using a normal cigarette filter plug hoist.

The present inventor pursued such a goal and earnestly
As a result of repeated research, the air permeability of the paper material wrapped around the fiber bundle core containing the cooling agent has a great influence on the performance of the flavoring tool, and further, it is suitable for the aroma retention and the effective cooling feeling during suction. It has been found that such a balance can be obtained by using a paper material having an air permeability in a specific range, and based on this result, the present invention described in detail below has been completed.

In order to adjust the air permeability of the paper for wrapping paper used in the present invention within a predetermined range, the line speed of the processing is adjusted or the solid content concentration of the resin processing agent is changed. You can The resin-processed paper used in the present invention (that is, the paper material for wrapping paper) has an air permeability of 1,000 seconds to 50,000.
00 seconds, preferably 1,000 to 10,000 seconds. If it is less than 1,000 seconds, the aroma-retaining effect of the smoking article is small, and if it is more than 50,000 seconds, inhalation resistance at the time of inhalation becomes large, and it becomes difficult to obtain an effective cooling sensation. In addition, the excessive air permeability value is due to the excessive amount of the resin component added during resin processing, which means that the voids in the processed base paper were clogged more than necessary. When the material is used as a wrapping paper, there is little room for the line glue to penetrate into the paper material surface, so that the adhesiveness between the wrapping papers is inevitably impaired.
In addition, attachment of an excessive amount of resin makes the feel of the incense stick, the mouthfeel hard, and increases the discomfort compared with cigarettes.

[Table 2] Air permeability of the sample paper and the amount of L-menthol remaining in the envelope As is clear from Table 2, the wrapping paper material R0 having a low air permeability (prone to permeation of air) easily permeates L-menthol, and the paper materials R1 and R2 having a high air permeability (poor to permeate air). It is clear that L-menthol is also difficult to penetrate.
