記桟付きコンベア上で搬送される長物農産物を搬送終端
部から一個づつ次工程に供給するものであるから、供給
コンベアの終端部から順次一個づつ横向きで且つ揃える
べき一側端が不揃いの状態で供給される長物農産物は、
桟付きコンベアの桟間に順次一個づつ受け入れられて搬
送され、該搬送途中に端揃え手段により一側端が揃えら
れて桟付きコンベアの搬送終端部から一個づつ次工程に
供給されるが、上記桟付きコンベアの桟間に長物農産物
を受け入れるにおいて長物農産物の長さの1/4〜1/2程度
の長さで且つ横向きの桟の間に長物農産物の長手方向の
中途部分が受け入れられることにより、長物農産物はそ
の1/2程度以上の部分が桟間になく桟の端側側方にあっ
て桟に拘束されずフリーであるので、長物農産物がたと
え弓状等に若干曲がっていても、端揃え手段により横移
動させられる際、該長物農産物が桟に強くこすれること
がなくスムーズに横移動できて、長物農産物を損傷させ
るということがなく、自動的に長物農産物の一側端を揃
え得て一個づつ供給することができる効果を有するもの
である。
