Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably produce a high-quality decorative laminate by a relatively simple operation process, enhance a productivity, and eliminate a need of bonding a backing material by a method wherein a veneer with a transparent synthetic resin sheet bonded is placed on a surface of a substrate the surface of which is coated with an adhesive, and k both are clamped to be bonded to each other. CONSTITUTION:A veneer 3 is laminated on a surface of a substrate 1 through an adhesive layer 2. A transparent synthetic resin sheet as a surface protective layer 4 is laminated and bonded on a surface of the veneer 3 through an adhesive 5 that is transparent or becomes transparent when curing. On the surface of the surface protective layer 4, recesses 6, 6' are so engraved by embossing as to artificially express tracheae or the like. The recesses 6 are formed within the range of the thickness of the surface protective layer 4. The recesses 6' are formed deep into the veneer 3 through the surface protective layer. The inside of the these recesses is coated with a color coating material 7 to be colored.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a decorative veneer is pasted on the surface of a substrate with an adhesive, then a colored paint is applied to the surface of the decorative veneer to apply a colored coating, and then a top coat is applied and overcoated. It is widely practiced to apply a paint to form a surface protective layer to form a decorative plate.

Further, in the case of attempting to perform thick coating using a paint having a high viscosity, if the coating speed or the drying speed is high, uniform coating cannot be performed, and foaming occurs during drying. Although all of these problems are avoided by slowing down the speed, a decrease in productivity is inevitable.

Under the circumstances as described above, it has been attempted to give up the thick coating of the top coat and form a relatively thin surface protective layer. In this case, the strength of the surface protective layer becomes weak. Therefore, there are problems that the surface is easily scratched, the abrasion resistance is poor, and a deep makeup surface cannot be obtained.

Further, in the conventional method for manufacturing a decorative veneer, the decorative veneer is liable to be warped or rubbed due to drying shrinkage, and a backing material is adhered to prevent this, but Inevitably, the process is complicated and the manufacturing cost is increased when the backing material is attached.

The method for producing a decorative veneer according to the present invention, which has been devised in earnest to achieve the above object, is a method for producing a decorative veneer in a wet state obtained by cutting wet wood, when it is transparent or cured. A transparent synthetic resin sheet is placed via an adhesive that becomes transparent, and pressure-bonding is performed while maintaining the wet state of the decorative veneer, and then the obtained transparent synthetic resin sheet-applied decorative veneer is bonded to the surface. It is characterized in that it is placed on the upper surface of the substrate coated with the agent, pressure-bonded and at the same time the wet decorative veneer is dried, and further, embossing is applied from the surface to form a recess. ..

Next, embossing is applied from the surface side of the surface protective layer made of a transparent synthetic resin sheet to form a recess. The embossing is performed using an embossing board, an embossing roll, a wire brush, a sander or the like. The depth of the recess is arbitrary, and the depth of the recess is within the thickness range of the surface protection layer, or the depth of the recess reaching the decorative veneer through the surface protection layer, or a combination thereof. A recess is formed.

Further, when the transparent synthetic resin sheet is attached to the surface of the decorative veneer, since an adhesive which is transparent or becomes transparent when cured is used, the recesses such as conduit grooves on the surface of the decorative veneer are transparent. Since it is exposed from the surface of the decorative board through the layer and the transparent surface protective layer, the recesses of the decorative veneer itself and the recesses formed on the surface of the surface protective layer are combined. Thus, it is possible to exhibit a very characteristic design property.

Further, after the colored coating material is applied to the whole surface of this decorative plate by using the above-mentioned coating device, preferably immediately after that, using a reverse roll coater, the surface of the surface protective layer excluding the recesses is removed. By removing the colored paint applied to the part and leaving the colored paint only in the recesses, the inside of the recesses of the surface protection layer can be colored. As a result, the recesses in the surface protective layer are more emphasized and the design is improved.
