Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation and collapse of a building by forming a diagonal bracing between opposing support columns automatically when sway and vibration exceeding a predetermined value act on the building due to earthquake. CONSTITUTION: A collapse prevention device in a building consists of a vibration detection member 7 consisting of a sensor which operates when sway and vibration exceeding a predetermined value are generated in the building and brace members 2a, 2b consisting of rope bodies which are strained diagonally between opposing support columns 13a and 13b due to the action of the vibration detection member 7 to form a diagonal bracing. In the normal condition when there is no sway and vibration, the brace members 2a, 2b keep a section between the opposing support columns 13a and 13b (an opening B) in the open condition. Only when sway and vibration exceeding a predetermined value are generated, the brace members 2a, 2b are wound up against weight members 11a, 11b by the operation of a winch 6, etc., to form a diagonal bracing between the opposing support columns 13a and 13b.

2. Description of the Related Art In structures such as wooden structures and steel frame structures,
In order to prevent the frame from being deformed into a rhombus due to horizontal load due to earthquake or wind, and to prevent the deformation from rising and the building to collapse,
It is a common knowledge of building technology to fix a strength brace between a pillar of a building and a pillar to improve strength. Due to the appearance of the building, this brace is hidden by walls and panel materials so that it cannot be seen from inside and outside the building. However, among these buildings, the first floor part that comes into contact with the ground is often used for stores, warehouses, or garages. Therefore, a large opening or an internal space is required. In many cases, the structure cannot be provided and the structure is supported substantially only by the columns.

A building in which the first-floor portion in contact with the ground is supported only by columns without brace is not so strong in strength. Therefore, shaking and vibration exceeding the predetermined limit specified at the time of designing. If it acts on the building, the pillars may be deformed or broken, resulting in irreparable physical damage to the building, so some reinforcement is required. However, at present, there is no effective reinforcement method in relation to the purpose of use.

In such a state, when an earthquake or a strong wind causes vibration or vibration in the building that exceeds the amount set in the vibration sensing member 7, the vibration sensing member 7 senses the vibration and at the same time the motor of the winch 6 is activated. The winch 6 is rotated in the direction of the arrow. Due to the rotation of the motor, the breath members 2a and 2b are moved to the weight members 11a and 11a as shown in FIG.
Each breath member 2a, 2b is wound up on the drum of the winch 6 against the load of 11b, so that each breath member 2a, 2b has a roller 5a, which is provided at the upper end of the supporting column 13a, 13b.
5B and the fixed portions 3a and 3b at the lower end are tensioned in a diagonal line to automatically form an X-shaped brace between the columns 13a and 13b. Therefore, the formed braces can suppress the shaking and vibration of the columns 13a and 13b, particularly the horizontal shaking and vibration, and reliably prevent the building from being damaged or collapsed.

The collapse prevention device 1 for this building is applied between the pillars of the first floor of a building, such as a building, a large store, a warehouse, or a garage, which is difficult to reinforce by bracing because it requires a large frontage. By this means, a particularly excellent function is exhibited, but it is needless to say that the present invention can be applied even if it is not necessarily the first floor portion. The brace formed between the columns may be a square brace or both braces, and the number of the brace members may be selected according to the required strength.
