CONSTITUTION: The portable electronic equipment 11 is provided with plural infrared-ray transmitting/receiving element parts 12 to 15, a display 16 and a key pad 17. The key pad 17 has plural operation pads and necessary informtion is displayed on the display 16 by operating these pads. The key pad 17 is used also for selecting an infrared-ray transmitting/receiving element part to be used out of plural ones 12 to 15.
