Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the work of a clerk in a bookstore at a bookstore front and settle controversial points such as the falling of the conventional paper bookmarker by a reader, the conventional paper bookmarker is an encumbrance to a reader and the like by a method wherein the cover flap part of a book and library cover is rouletted so as to form a bookmarker part, which connects with the upper end part, lower end part or right end part of the cover flap. CONSTITUTION: The cover flap part 3 of a book and library cover is rouletted 1 so as to form a bookmarker part 2, which connects to the upper end part, lower end part or right end part of the cover flap 3. Further, when a reader is not yet finished and stopped on half way in reading, the roulette 1 of the book and library cover is torn so as to put as a bookmarker connecting with the cover between pages half-read. Furthermore, since the cover flap part 3 connects with a cover through the upper end part, lower end part or right end part, the bookmarker part 2 does not separate from the cover flap part 3 even when the roulette is torn. Thus, only the wrapping of the book and library cover by a clerk in a bookstore is necessary and the putting of a paper bookmarker between pages becomes unnecessary.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a book / paperback cover having perforations connected to each other at an upper end portion, a lower end portion or a right end portion of a facing portion to form a bookmark portion.

2. Description of the Related Art When you buy a book or paperback at a bookstore, you are wearing a paper cover as a reader service at the cash register. The conventional one is merely a cover and does not have a bookmark function.

The conventional book / paperback cover does not have perforations that form a bookmark part connected at the upper end or the lower end of the facing part. Therefore, the bookstore staff had to put on a cover and insert a paper bookmark. Readers also had to pinch a paper bookmark on another page when reading a book. Also, it was very troublesome to drop bookmarks and turn over pages.

[Means for Solving the Problems] A conventional book / paperback cover is perforated so as to form a bookmark part connected at the upper end or the lower end or the right end of the facing part.

[Operation] When a reader reads a book and quits halfway through,

[Effects of the Invention] The bookstore clerk only has to wrap the book / paperback cover, and there is no need to sandwich a paper bookmark.
Readers will also be able to drop traditional paper bookmarks, and the paper bookmarks will not get in the way when reading a book.

[Claims] 1. A book with perforations that forms a bookmark part connected at the upper end or the lower end of the facing part.
Paperback cover 2. The book / paperback cover according to claim 1, wherein perforations are formed so as to form a horizontally long bookmark part connected at the right end of the facing part.
