Description

The present invention relates to a book cover to be attached to a book, and particularly to a book cover having a bookmark function sandwiched between pages.

Conventionally, a book cover for protecting a book is known. In addition, as a mark on the middle page of a book, a string-like bookmark may be attached to the spine side of the book itself, or a strip-shaped piece of paper may be used as a bookmark as a separate part independent of the book.

The string-like bookmarks attached to the book itself are often not attached because the number of processes is increased at the time of bookbinding and the cost is increased. Further, even when the book is attached to the book, it is necessary to search in the process of opening or closing the page of the book. On the other hand, a strip-shaped bookmark may be dropped from the book and lost in the process of opening or closing the page of the book.

。   On the other hand, there is known a book cover that solves the inconvenience as described above by attaching a bookmark in advance (for example, see Patent Documents 1 and 2).

Japanese Patent No. 4624444

The book cover with bookmarks described above has the following problems. That is, since the structure for providing the bookmark on the book cover is complicated, the manufacturing cost is high. In addition, when the bookmark itself is not used, it may be an obstacle. For this reason, it has not been provided as a book cover provided free of charge for service at bookstores.

Therefore, the present invention has an object to provide a book cover that can reduce the manufacturing cost and is easy to use even though the bookmark is integrally attached.

A book cover according to one aspect of the present invention is formed by covering a cover of a book and protecting the book and the cover thereof, and extending from one end side of the main surface member to the back side of the book cover. And a front cover folding member in which the upper edge portion and the lower edge portion are respectively joined to the upper edge portion and the lower edge portion of the main surface member, and the back cover of the book extending from the other end side of the main surface member. It is formed integrally from the back cover folding member formed by folding back to the back side and the end of the cover folding member. A bookmark member joined to the lower edge of the main surface member.

According to one aspect of the present invention, it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost and provide an easy-to-use book cover although the bookmark pieces are integrally attached.

1-4 is explanatory drawing which shows the book cover 10 which concerns on one embodiment of this invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the book cover 10 protects the book 100. For example, a polymer compound such as polypropylene on which arbitrary characters, colors, and patterns are printed, or a single sheet-like base made of paper. It is cut out from the material and formed at a predetermined position by welding or thermocompression bonding or using an adhesive. As shown in FIG. 3, the book 100 includes a plurality of main body printing papers 101, a front cover 102 and a back cover 103 provided on both sides of the main body printing paper 101, and a back cover (not shown). .

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the book cover 10 includes a horizontally long rectangular main surface member 11 for covering and protecting the front cover 102, the back cover 103, and the call back cover of the book 100. . The main surface member 11 is for covering and protecting a cover of a book, which is an example of a book, for example. Therefore, the main surface member 11 is substantially the same as or slightly larger than the size of the target book such as a book. Formed in size.

On one end side of the horizontally long rectangular main surface member 11, a front cover folding member 20 that is folded back to the back side of the front cover of the book is integrally provided. At the other end of the main surface member 11, a back cover folding member 30 that is folded back to the back side of the back cover of the book is provided. The upper edge portion and the lower edge portion of the front cover folding member 20 are respectively joined to the upper edge portion and the lower edge portion of the main surface member 11. Of course, if the substrate is made of a polymer compound such as polypropylene, it is welded. The back cover folding member 30 is not joined to the main surface member 11 while being folded. The vertical length of the front cover folding member 20 and the back cover folding member 30 is the same as that of the main surface member 11. Note that the back cover folding member 30 is asymptotically a little shorter toward the end side.

The front cover 102 of the book 100 is inserted and held in a bag-like body portion between the right half of the main surface member 11 and the front cover folding member 20 with the upper and lower edges welded thereto. The back cover 103 of the book 100 is sandwiched between the left half of the main surface member 11 and the folded back cover folding member 30. Alternatively, the back cover 103 of the book 100 is inserted and held together with the back cover folding member 30 in a gap between the left half of the main surface member 11 and a band-shaped member 50 described later.

A strip-shaped bookmark member 40 is formed integrally with the other end of the front cover folding member 20. In the bookmark member 40, at least one break line T along the vertical direction is perforated. The lower edge portion of the bookmark member 40 is joined to the lower edge portion of the main surface member 11 in the same process as the front cover folding member 20, while the upper edge portion is not joined to the main surface member 11 and is opened. Since the vertical length of the bookmark member 40 is shorter than the vertical length of the cover cover folding member 20 and slightly longer than a half thereof, the upper edge of the bookmark member 40 does not reach the upper end of the cover cover folding member 20 and the intermediate position thereof. It stays in a slightly higher position.

When the bookmark member 40 is broken along the break line T and used as a bookmark piece (bookmark, bookmark), the bookmark member 40 is slightly longer than the vertical length of the cover cover folding member 20 or half of the vertical length of the book. It is a length of about the structure where the upper edge is open and the lower edge is joined, flexibly dealing with the thickness up to a specific page that changes according to the progress of reading, from between the pages It's hard to come off, it doesn't get in the way during reading without using it, and it doesn't get in the way as it overlaps the spread page. It can be used as a bookmark in a simple operation that is sandwiched between the pages, making it very easy to use.

The break line T of the bookmark member 40 is formed in a perforated shape as described above, and can be easily broken by the power of a human hand. When the user breaks along the breaking line T, the bookmark member 40 can be separated from the front cover folding member 20 one by one as bookmark pieces 41-43. Since the separated bookmark pieces 41 to 43 are connected to the main surface member 11 at the lower edge portion thereof, the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 can be folded upward and are not separated from the main surface member 11 and lost. Note that the break line T for separating the bookmark pieces 41 and 42 may be distinguished from the other break lines with respect to the break line T for separating the bookmark pieces 43.

A belt-like member 50 whose upper and lower edges are joined to the main surface member 11 is attached to the side closer to the back cover folding member 30 than the central portion of the main surface member 11. Typically, the upper edge portion 51 and the lower edge portion 52 of the belt-like member 50 are formed with a gusset portion 53 in order to provide an appropriate length of gap with the main surface member 11 as shown in FIG. Has been.

FIG. 4 is a development view showing a state of the sheet-like base material K1 made of polypropylene or paper before the book cover 10 is assembled. 4, the same reference numerals are given to the same functional parts as those of the book cover 10 in FIG. The book cover 10 is manufactured by joining predetermined portions of the base material K1 before assembly. Moreover, the strip | belt-shaped member 50 is joined as another component.

The book cover 10 thus configured is used as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, the front cover 102 of the book 100 is inserted and held between the main surface member 11 and the front cover folding member 20, the back cover folding member 30 is folded, and the back cover 103 of the book 100 is folded. Between the main surface member 11 and the main surface member 11. The main body printing paper 101 can be inserted into the belt-like member 50 together with the back cover folding member 30 as necessary. Since the belt-shaped member 50 is provided with the gusset portion 53, about ten or more sheets of the main body printing paper 101 can be inserted, and unlike the bookmark pieces 41 to 43, it can be used as a relatively fixed bookmark. .

Next, the user breaks an arbitrary breaking line T provided on the bookmark member 40 and separates it as bookmark pieces 41 to 43. Since the lower edge portion of the bookmark member 40 is welded to the main surface member 11, the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 are not detached from the main surface member 11 in a normal use state, and there is no fear of loss. Such bookmark pieces 41 to 43 can be used by the user appropriately sandwiching the main body printing paper 101. In addition, since the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 are joined to the lower edge portion of the main surface member 11 at the lower edge portion, even if the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 hang down due to their own weight, they hang down outward from the book 100 and do not overlap on the spread page. Therefore, the user does not get in the way when reading the book 100. If the bookmark member 40 is temporarily joined to the main surface member 11 at the upper edge, the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 hang down due to their own weight and overlap the spread page of the book 100 during reading, which is very troublesome. Become. When the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 are used, for example, the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 may be opened with the right thumb, and the book may be closed while weaving on the page side, which is very convenient.

Since the bookmark member 40 has a plurality of break lines T and can be separated into a plurality of bookmark pieces 41 to 43, it can be used as a mark for a plurality of pages at the same time. Of course, when it is desired to use it only as a mark for one page, by breaking only one break line T, only a single bookmark piece, for example, the bookmark piece 41 can be used, and other unnecessary bookmarks can be used. The pieces 42 and 43 do not get in the way. Of course, by breaking the bookmark member 40 along any one of the breaking lines T, it can be used as a single bookmark piece (41, 41 + 42, 41 + 42 + 43) with an arbitrary width.

As described above, according to the book cover 10 according to the present embodiment, the bookmark member 40 that can be used as the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 by breaking the bookmark member 40 along the breaking line T when used is the main surface member. 11, the front cover folding member 20 and the back cover folding member 30 can be cut out from a single substrate K1 as shown in FIG. 4 in the same process, and the breaking line T can be simultaneously formed in the cutting process, Furthermore, since it can manufacture by joining the lower edge part of the bookmark member 40 to the main surface member 11 at the same process as the front cover folding | turning member 20, a separate process is not required and manufacturing cost can be held down. Further, the bookmark member can be easily used as a bookmark when the user appropriately breaks it. Furthermore, when using bookmark pieces, the thickness up to a specific page that changes according to the degree of progress of reading is flexibly dealt with, making it difficult to come off between the pages, and it is too long even during reading without using it. It does not become an obstacle and overlaps the spread page, and when it is sandwiched between spread pages as a bookmark piece, it can be used as a bookmark with a simple work of pushing up with the thumb from the bottom and sandwiching between the pages. It will be easy to use.

In addition, you may make it improve the identification property in the case of using a bookmark separately by changing each color and pattern of the bookmark pieces 41-43 by printing of the bookmark member 40. FIG.

FIG. 5 is an explanatory view showing a book cover 10 </ b> A that is a first modification of the book cover 10. 5, the same functional parts as those in FIGS. 1 to 4 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted. In the book cover 10 </ b> A, a bookmark member 40 </ b> A that is a separate member from the cover cover folding member 20 is formed instead of the bookmark member 40 described above. In this case, the bookmark member 40 </ b> A joins the lower edge 40 a to the main surface member 11 in a separate process from the front cover folding member 20. Moreover, even if it is the book 100 with thickness by forming the gusset part 41a in the lower edge 40a, the bookmark member 40A can be utilized as the bookmark pieces 41-43.

Also in this modification, the same effect as the book cover 10 described above can be obtained, and it is easy to deal with a thick book 100.

FIG. 6 is an explanatory view showing a book cover 10 </ b> B that is a second modification of the book cover 10. 6, the same functional parts as those in FIGS. 1 to 4 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted. In the book cover 10 </ b> B, a bookmark member 40 </ b> B is formed integrally with the front cover folding member 20 instead of the bookmark member 40 described above. The bookmark member 40B has an upper edge formed in a stepped shape, and a breaking line T is carved in the bookmark member 40B along the step. When it breaks at an arbitrary breaking line T, it can be used as bookmark pieces 41 to 43 having three different lengths. For this reason, it is possible to improve the distinguishability when using different bookmarks, and it is possible to appropriately use the bookmark pieces 41 to 43 having a length according to the thickness up to the page into which the bookmark pieces are inserted.

Also in this modification, the same effect as the book cover 10 described above can be obtained, and bookmarks can be used properly according to the purpose.

FIG. 7 is an explanatory view showing a book cover 10 </ b> C that is a third modification of the book cover 10. 7, the same functional parts as those in FIGS. 1 to 4 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted. In the book cover 10 </ b> C, a bookmark member 40 </ b> C integrated with the front cover folding member 20 is formed instead of the bookmark member 40 described above. The bookmark member 40 </ b> C has an upper edge portion and a lower edge portion joined to the main surface member 11. Further, a notch P1 is formed on the upper edge side, and a notch P2 is formed on the lower edge side.

When the bookmark member 40C is broken at the breaking line T, two types of bookmark pieces 44 and 45 are formed. The bookmark piece 44 is joined to the upper edge side of the main surface member 11, and the bookmark piece 45 is joined to the lower edge portion side of the main surface member 11. For this reason, the bookmark piece 44 from the upper part and the bookmark piece 45 from the lower part can be appropriately used to improve convenience.

The bookmark piece 45 can be distinguished as a bookmark member, and the bookmark piece 44 can be distinguished as another bookmark member different from the bookmark member.

FIG. 8 is an explanatory view showing a book cover 10 </ b> D that is a fourth modification of the book cover 10. 8, the same functional parts as those in FIGS. 1 to 4 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.

In the book cover 10D, instead of the bookmark member 40 described above, the main surface member 11 is formed on the right end side of the belt-like member 50 integrally and with a breaking line T along the vertical direction. A bookmark member 40D is provided which is joined to the lower edge of the upper edge and extends upward.

The bookmark member 40 </ b> D can be made to function as a separate bookmark by separating the three bookmark pieces 46 to 48 separately from the belt-shaped member 50 by the user breaking at the breaking line T. The bookmark member 40D is formed integrally with the main surface member 11 and can be folded. These bookmark pieces 46 to 48 are sandwiched between the target page of the book 100 and the pages facing it.

9-11 is explanatory drawing which shows the book cover 60 as a reference example. As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the book cover 60 includes a horizontally long rectangular main surface member 61 for covering and protecting the front cover 102 and the back cover 103 of the book 100. Since the main surface member 61 is for covering and protecting a cover of a single book, which is an example of a book, for example, the main surface member 61 is formed to have approximately the same size as the size of the cover of the single book.

A horizontally long main surface member 61 having a rectangular shape, extending from one end side of the main surface member 61, folded back to the inside of the front cover 102, provided along the inner surface side of the front cover 102 of the book 100, and its upper edge A front cover folding member 70 having a lower portion and a lower edge joined to the main surface member 61, an inner surface side of the back cover 103 of the book 100, which is formed by extending from one end side of the main surface member 11 and folding back to the inner side of the back cover 103. And a back cover folding member 80 provided along the line.

The front cover folding member 70 is for inserting and holding the front cover 102 of the book 100, and the back cover folding member 80 is for inserting and holding the back cover 103 of the book 100.

A bookmark member 90 is integrally provided on the other end side of the front cover folding member 70. A break line T is formed between the front cover folding member 70 and the bookmark member 90. The breaking line T is formed in a groove shape and can be easily broken by hand force. The bookmark member 90 can be separated from the front cover folding member 70 when the user breaks along the breaking line T.

A belt-like member 65 whose upper and lower edges are joined to the main surface member 61 is attached to the side closer to the back cover folding member 80 than the central portion of the main surface member 61. The upper edge portion 66 and the lower edge portion 67 of the belt-like member 65 are formed with gusset portions.

FIG. 11 is a plan view showing a state of the polypropylene or paper base K2 before the book cover 60 is assembled. 11, the same reference numerals are given to the same functional parts as those of the book cover 60 in FIG. The book cover 60 is manufactured by joining predetermined portions of the base material K2 before assembly. Moreover, the strip | belt-shaped member 65 is joined as another component.

The book cover 60 configured as described above is used as follows. That is, as shown in FIG. 10, the front cover 102 of the book 100 is inserted and held in the front cover folding member 70, and the back cover folding member 80 inserts and holds the back cover 103 of the book 100. The main body printing paper 101 is sandwiched between the belt-like members 65 as necessary. Since the belt-like member 65 is provided with a gusset portion, about ten or more sheets of main body printing paper 101 can be sandwiched.

Next, the break line T provided on the bookmark member 90 can be broken by the user and separated from the front cover folding member 70. The bookmark member 90 after being separated can be used as a bookmark as shown in FIG.

As described above, the book cover 60 according to the reference example can be used as a bookmark by breaking the bookmark member 90. Therefore, although the bookmark member 90 is integrally attached, it is possible to manufacture by simply cutting out one base material K2 as shown in FIG. Can be suppressed.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments. The book cover 10 described above has been described with reference to an example for a paperback book, but it is needless to say that the book cover 10 can be applied to books other than paperback books, book covers for other books such as diaries, notebooks, and household accounts.
