Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate troublesome operations, and make highly accurate measurement by detecting the height of a measured area, and thereby correcting the blood pressure or a blood vessel condition measured by a measuring means in response to the height at which measurement has been made. CONSTITUTION: When a start switch 7 is turned on, the inclination θ1 of a main body 11 is detected by an inclination sensor 8, it is taken in a MPU 3 through an A/D converter 2, and it is stored in a memory 9. After that, a wrist is pressed by a cuff, its pressure is increased up to a specified cuff pressure, and it is then decompressed thereafter. In the process of a series of pressing and decompressing, the maximum and the lowest blood pressure are determined based on string data for the amplitude of a pulsation wave to be detected by a pulsation wave sensor 1 and cuff pressure. After the decision of blood pressure has been over, the inclination of θ2 of the main body 11 is measured again, and the inclination θ2 measured at this point is stored in the memory 9. Next, the difference H in height is computed based on the inclinations θ1 and θ2 and if the difference is in a specified range, a correction value is then computed so as to allow a blood pressure value to be corrected, and the corrected blood pressure value is then indicated on a display unit 4.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a sphygmomanometer needs to be measured with the cuff at the same height as the heart. However, electronic blood pressure monitors for wrists, electronic blood pressure monitors for fingers, etc. are installed at the same height as the heart because the cuff (mainly with the main body) is attached to a freely movable part. However, a measurement error may occur. In order to avoid such inconvenience, conventionally, the user sets and inputs the relationship (height difference) between the wrist / finger cuff and the position of the heart, and the blood pressure determining means sets a correction value according to the set value. Correction calculation processing is performed on the obtained blood pressure value.

In the conventional electronic blood pressure monitor described above, it is difficult for the user to correctly measure the positional relationship between the wrist, finger cuff and the heart, and the relationship value is measured for each measurement. It is necessary to input, it is troublesome to use, and blood pressure measurement error may occur due to operation mistake,
There is a problem in that it takes time and labor in actual use and human error occurs.

In this electronic sphygmomanometer, the height of the measurement site is detected by the height detecting means when the blood pressure measurement is started. The height is obtained by, for example, the difference H from the height of the heart. The relationship between the height difference H and the blood pressure error has a negative correlation as shown in FIG. By preliminarily storing this correlation in a memory, for example, when the height difference H is detected by the height detecting means, a correction value corresponding to the height difference H by the correcting means is obtained, A correction calculation is performed on the blood pressure value determined by the blood pressure measurement means, and an automatically corrected almost proper measurement value can be obtained regardless of the height.

Here, the relationship between the inclination and the height will be described. Now, as shown in FIG. 3, the sphygmomanometer body 11 is attached to the wrist 10.
Put the hand of the elbow 12 on the desk 13 while wearing the
The angle between the desk surface and the elbow 12 is θ. Here, assuming that the height difference between the heart 14 and the sphygmomanometer body 11 (measurement site) is H, the relationship between the inclination θ and the height difference H is as shown in FIG. From this, if the inclination θ can be detected, the height difference H
You can know. That is, the height can be detected by the tilt sensor. If the difference in height is obtained, the blood pressure error is obtained from FIG. 1 and the correction value is obtained. The electronic sphygmomanometer of this embodiment is constructed so that the above-mentioned correction can be performed. In addition,
Since there is no difference in height greater than the length L of the hand, only the predetermined range H m in FIG. 4 needs to be corrected.

The inclination θ of the main body 11 is measured, and the measured inclination θ 2 at that time is measured.

This electronic sphygmomanometer has the body 11 attached to the wrist, and as shown in FIG.
Then, the height of the main body 11 of the electronic blood pressure monitor is adjusted. In order to match, the heart sound sensor 16 searches for the strength of the heart sound near the heart, and when the peak point L p is detected (see FIG. 8), that position is the heart position. From this peak point L p , the main body 11
, The heart sound becomes weaker and conversely the peak point L p
Even if the main body 11 is lowered further, the heart sounds are weakened. Therefore, by storing the relationship between the heart sound and the height of the main body 11 and the relationship between the height and the blood pressure error in the memory 9 in advance, the blood pressure error is obtained from the strength of the heart sound at the time of blood pressure measurement, and this error is corrected. By doing so, it is possible to know the automatically corrected correct blood pressure value without worrying about the height of the main body 11. The memory switch 18 is a switch for storing heart sounds in the memory 9.
