Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the power storage unit by using the power storage unit of an uninterruptible normal power supply as the power storage unit of an uninterruptible backup power supply while switching synchronously. CONSTITUTION: When a load line 9 is switched from an uninterruptible normal power supply (PW) 1 to a backup PW 10, a solid state switch 8 of an uninterruptible switching means 6 in the PW 1 is turned on a switching signal. Furthermore, a movable switch 7 is actuated to switch the contact thereof from a terminal (b) to (a). Consequently, the load line 9 is disconnected from the PW 1 and connected with the PW 10. The uninterruptible switching means 6 and the switching means 20 for the PW 1 are also actuated by the switching signal. In other words, a solid state switch 22 is turned on and a movable switch 21 is actuated to switch the contact thereof from a terminal (b) to (a). Consequently, a power storage unit 4 is switched from the A/D conversion means 3 therefor to a common line 19 connected with an A/D conversion means 13 in the PW 10.

As described above, the uninterruptible stabilized power supply device of the present invention does not have the power storage device required for the backup uninterruptible power supply device, and can be used for backup from any regular uninterruptible power supply device. When switching to the UPS uninterruptible power supply and supplying its output to the load, the power storage device of the regular uninterruptible power supply should be switched to the backup power storage device of the uninterruptible power supply in synchronization with the switching. Therefore, the power storage device required for the backup uninterruptible power supply can be omitted by simply providing the simple switching means, and the space required as the uninterruptible stabilized power supply can be significantly suppressed and the cost can be reduced. Especially self-
By switching between the output side of the direct conversion means and the output side of the AC-to-direct conversion means in the backup uninterruptible power supply without interruption, the disturbance of the voltage supplied to the load at the time of switching. Can be suppressed, and a smoother switching operation can be performed.
