Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a hair cosmetic capable of repairing split hairs through their binding, by combining a specific polysiloxane-oxyalkylene copolymer with another silicone derivative. CONSTITUTION: This hair cosmetic is a combination of a polysiloxane- oxyalkylene copolymer of formula I ((a) is 1-1000; (n) and (c) are each 0-1000; (x) is 1-100) with another silicone derivative, pref. a compound of formula ((n) is an integer of 34-20000), esp. an amino-modified silicone. The copolymer is pref. blended in a content of 0.5-30.0wt.% in the whole composition. The silicone derivative, other than those mentioned above, is e.g. a methylphenylpolysiloxane of formula III ((f+g) is 1-500), its blended content being pref. at 0.1-10.0wt.%. The hair cosmetic improves touch feeling of the hair as a whole as well as repairing split hairs, and is capable of giving the hair luster.
