2. Description of the Related Art The gas used in each home is supplied through a supply pipe and a supply pipe branching from a main pipe buried under a road. When pulling in the supply pipe from the main pipe, it is common to take a cutoff at one point of the main pipe that is affected by the branch work, and stop the normal gas supply before performing the branch work. It is also required to carry out branching work while maintaining normal gas supply. When laying a supply pipe, usually, first, an opening portion as a construction site is provided on the main pipe by cutting means, and the supply pipe is connected to the main pipe in accordance with the opening portion thus formed. Pull in to customers.

However, when the gas main is an iron pipe,
When a drilling operation is performed on the main pipe by a cutting means, chips (pieces) are scattered in the pipe. Since this type of cutting chips has a small particle size, they may be carried in the subsequent gas flow and flowed into the customer if they are not removed immediately and thoroughly after the drilling work. Such chips easily enter the gas appliances and hinder the daily use of gas.

First, since the metallic chip removing device is constructed by connecting the spherical magnet 34 to the tip of the rod-shaped body 32 by the coil-shaped spring 33, the pipe P is passed through the opening 37. When it is inserted into the inside, the magnet and the coil spring are opened, the opening 37, the joint inner wall 36, the shutter device 31.
It is difficult to pass because it gets caught in (thing used when branching work while maintaining normal gas supply).
Further, since the coiled spring 33 cannot hold the spherical magnet 34 in the horizontal direction, the spherical magnet 34 not only hits the opening portion 37 and causes friction, but also is attracted to the opening portion by magnetic force. Various problems have occurred when inserting the chip removing device into the pipeline.

The second is that when the metallic chips removed from the pipe P are adsorbed and then the metallic chip removing device is pulled back from the pipe P, the spherical magnet 34 opens the hole 37 and the joint. Since it collides with the inner wall 36 and the shutter device 31, the spherical magnet 3
The metal chips adsorbed on the surface of No. 4 fall into the pipe again, and eventually the purpose of removing the metal chips fallen into the pipe line cannot be achieved.

In order to achieve the above object, a metallic chip removing device according to the present invention is provided with an outer pipe member having a diameter-expanded portion at its tip and slidable on the outer pipe member. The rod-shaped core member is inserted, the flexible connecting member is fixed to the lower end portion of the rod-shaped core member, and the spherical magnet is fixed to the lower end portion of the flexible connecting member. When removing the chips inside, insert the chip removing device into the duct from the opening with the spherical magnet housed in the expanded diameter portion of the outer pipe member, and after inserting into the duct, the rod shape The core material is pushed toward the inside of the conduit to expose the spherical magnet inside the conduit, and the flexibility of the flexible connecting member causes the spherical magnet to move within the conduit to adsorb the chips, and after the adsorption is completed, the spherical magnet is removed. Insert the rod-shaped core material so that it can be accommodated in the expanded portion. It can be characterized by being adapted to complete the chip removing work by pulling back the chip removing device from conduit.

In the metallic chip removing device according to the present invention, the rod-shaped core member is inserted into the outer pipe member having the enlarged diameter portion at the tip thereof, and one end of the flexible connecting member is internally fixed and fixed to the lower portion of the rod-shaped core member. Since a spherical magnet that adsorbs metallic chips is fixed to the other end of the elastic coupling member, the spherical magnet is used when removing the chips in the pipe using the metallic chip removing device. It becomes possible to smoothly insert the chip removing device into the pipe through the opening while it is still accommodated in the expanded diameter portion of the outer pipe member.

FIG. 2 shows the usage state of the metallic chip removing device 1. When removing the metallic chips 11 in the pipe using the metallic chip removing device 1, the spherical magnet 2 is kept in the expanded diameter portion 4 of the outer pipe member 6 and The chip removing device 1 is inserted through the shutter device 12, the inner wall 13 of the joint, and the opening 7 into the pipe line P. After inserting into the pipe, the rod-shaped core member 5 is pushed inward along the inner wall of the outer pipe member 6 by the operation handle 8 to expose the spherical magnet 2 in the pipe passage, and the spherical magnet 2 is moved in the pipe passage P. As a result, the chips 11 are adsorbed. After the adsorption is completed, the rod-shaped core material 5 is pulled by using the handle 8 so that the spherical magnet 2 having the chips adsorbed on the surface is housed in the expanded diameter portion 4, and the metallic chip removing device 1 is pulled back from the inside of the conduit P. This completes the chip removal work.

The use state of FIG. 2 shows a case where the opening portion 7 is provided on one side of the conduit P, and the flexible connecting member 3 used at that time has high flexibility. It is a flexible wire. By using a highly flexible wire, when the rod-shaped core material 5 is extruded into the tube as shown in FIG. 2, the spherical magnet 2 hangs down due to the gravitational action at the location where the chips are falling. By moving the magnet 2 in the tube by the flexibility, it is possible to surely adsorb the metal chips generated during the drilling work.

FIG. 3 shows another usage state of the metallic chip removing device 1. As shown in FIG. 3, the opening portions 7 are provided on both upper and lower sides of the pipeline P, and the chips 11 generated during the drilling work are falling into the pipeline below the both opening portions 7. Flexible connecting member 3 used at that time
May have a lower flexibility than that shown in FIG. 2, for example a spring steel flat plate can be used. At that time, as shown in FIG. 3, when the rod-shaped core material 5 is pushed into the tube, the spherical magnet 2 reaches the place where the chips are falling, and the flexibility of the spring steel flat plate causes the magnet 2 to move in the tube to open a hole. It is possible to surely adsorb the metal chips generated during the work.

1. A metallic chip removing device for removing chips scattered in a pipe to the outside of a pipe when a hole is drilled in the metallic pipe. An outer pipe member having an enlarged diameter portion, a rod-shaped core member slidably inserted in the outer pipe member, a flexible connecting member fixed to a lower end portion of the rod-shaped core member, and the flexible connecting member. It is composed of a spherical magnet fixed to the lower end of the, and when removing the chips in the duct, the chip removing device can be used with the spherical magnet housed in the expanded portion of the outer pipe member. Insert the tube into the conduit through the opening, then push the rod-shaped core material toward the inside of the conduit to expose the spherical magnet to the inside of the conduit, and use the flexibility of the flexible connecting member to connect the spherical magnet to the conduit. The chips are adsorbed by moving inside, and after adsorption is completed,
The rod-shaped core material is drawn so as to accommodate the spherical magnet in the expanded diameter portion, and the chip removing operation is completed by pulling back the chip removing device from the pipe line. A device that removes hard chips.
