When a supply pipe is pulled in from a main pipe, it is general to take a shut-off measure at one location of the main pipe affected by the branching operation, and to stop the normal gas supply before performing the branching operation. Next, when laying the supply pipe, usually, first, a cutting port is provided on the main pipe by a cutting means, and a supply pipe is connected to the main pipe in accordance with the branch port formed in this manner. I will pull it in first.

When a drilling operation is performed on the main pipe by a cutting means, chips (pieces) are scattered in the pipe. Since this kind of chip has a small particle size, if it is not immediately and thoroughly removed after the perforation operation, there is a risk that the chips will flow along with the subsequent gas flow to the customer. Such swarf gets into the gas appliance and tends to hinder daily use of gas.

The range is narrow, and the chips scattered in the pipe cannot be sufficiently removed. Further, when the bar-shaped member 11 is inclined, the attracting surface 1 of the magnet 12 that can contact the falling chips

The magnet has a spherical shape, and the entire spherical surface is capable of adsorbing iron chips. It is to be noted that a magnet made of another material can be used as necessary, for example, W steel or Cr steel as a magnet steel, or CO / W / Cr / C magnet steel. The spherical magnet 4 is movably connected to the tip 2 ′ of the rod-shaped main body 2 via the coil spring 3. In the present embodiment, a coil-shaped spring is used as an elastic member, but other elastic members, such as rubber wires and strings, can be used as necessary. One end of the coil spring 3 is fixed to the spherical magnet 4, while the other end is fixed to the tip 2 ′ of the rod-shaped main body 2.

In the lower part of the rod-shaped main body 2, a plastic bag 5 as a cover is detachably mounted so as to cover the spherical magnet 4 and the coiled spring 3. The plastic bag 5 used in this way is intended to prevent iron chips from being directly attracted to the spherical magnet. Other materials can be used as needed for the bag, as long as the material does not prevent the passage of magnetic force.

When removing the swarf scattered in the pipe, first, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the device 1 is inserted into the iron pipe P to a necessary degree from the branch port 7 as a branching work site. Then, the rod-shaped main body 2 is moved by hand while holding the rod-shaped main body 2 outside the conduit so as to move the spherical magnet 4 in the conduit. Along with this movement, the spherical magnet 4 hanging from the tip 2 ′ of the rod-shaped main body 2 via the coil spring 3 can move in a wide range in the tube, and the attractive force of the spherical magnet 4 causes the spherical magnet 4 to move inside the tube. Chips 6 falling on the surface of the vinyl bag 5 can be adsorbed. In particular, as shown in FIG. 3, the spherical magnet 4 can be moved over a wide range in the pipeline by the coil spring 3, so that all the chips 6 scattered during the cutting or drilling work of the iron pipe P can be absorbed without leaving any. Only one chip removal operation is sufficient.

The vinyl bag 5 is detached from the rod-shaped main body 2 so as to enter. Spherical magnet 4
Since the magnetic force disappears on the surface of the plastic bag 5 away from the metal bag, iron chips attached to the surface of the plastic bag 5 fall into the container 8. The surface of the plastic bag 5 is smooth, so that when the magnetic force disappears, the chips fall off without the attachment of chips.
