ロール5との間を通し、次いで冷却ロール6で冷却する
ことにより該シート3を所定の肉厚に圧延すると同時に
該溝付き加圧ロール4の複数条の平行するリブ成形用環
状凹溝の形状に従った複数条の平行するリブを成形して
開孔剤含有シート7を作成し、次いで溶剤で該開孔剤を
除去することにより微多孔性のリブ付きセパレータを製
造する。

ルの補修費もかなり高価である。また、リブ付きセパレ
ータは押出機で押し出されてロール成形されたものは開
孔剤含有シートであり、その後、溶剤で開孔剤を抽出
し、溶剤を乾燥させて微多孔性シートとするわけである
が、開孔剤含有シートは収縮することがわかっているた
め、製品幅とその収縮率を考慮して溝付き加圧ロールは
設計されている。ところが、コンパウンドの配合が違う
とセパレータ中の開孔度合いも変わり当然収縮率も多少
違いがでてくるため、同じ製品寸法のものでも製造工程
中での微調整が必要となる。しかしながら、製品毎に押
出、抽出、乾燥速度の調製や抽出槽内の溶剤中の開孔剤
濃度を調製することは困難なため、開孔剤含有シートの
寸法を調製することになり、結果として新規の加圧ロー
ルを発注する必要があった。
