Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a grip good at both wet and firm feelings without deteriorating such properties as elongation and hardness by using a composition in which a specified amount of tackifier and a short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch are blended into natural rubber or synthetic rubber. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition is composed of 100 pts.wt. natural rubber or synthetic rubber, 20-100 pts.wt. tackifier, and a short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch containing 1-7 pts.wt. of short fibers. A liquid polymer or oligomer is used chiefly as the tackifier. A liquid petroleum resin of 4-5C fraction such as polybutene and polypentadiene is used as the liquid polymer. In the preparation of the masterbatch, organic short fibers, after being surface-treated with a rubber-reactive reagent, are kneaded into rubber, and the mixture is melt- extruded to disperse the fibers finely into the rubber.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, grips have been provided on sports equipment, bicycle handles, etc. as a slip stopper during gripping. It is necessary for this grip to have a good feeling of being moist (feeling like a fit on the hand) and a firm feeling (feeling that it is difficult to move with respect to the hand), which is the feeling when gripped with the hand. However, when the moist feeling is enhanced, the grip becomes too soft and the feeling is impaired.

The grip according to the present invention comprises 20 to 100 parts by weight of a tackifier and 100 parts by weight of natural rubber and / or synthetic rubber, and a short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch as a short fiber amount of 1%. It is characterized in that it is composed of a rubber composition containing 7 to 7 parts by weight. As described above, since the grip of the present invention contains the tackifier and the short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch in rubber, the above object can be achieved.

The liquid polymer may be liquid rubber such as liquid polybutadiene and liquid polyisobutylene. Besides liquid polyisoprene, liquefied natural rubber, liquid polysulfide rubber, liquid polychloroprene, liquid rosin is also used. These are preferably non-functional groups, hydrogenated types, and the like, which have low reactivity, because they do not increase the hardness of the grip product.

Examples of the oligomer include butadiene oligomer, isoprene oligomer, styrene oligomer and the like, and a mixture thereof can also be used. These may or may not have a functional group at the terminal, but a functional group is more stable and easier to use. In addition, a rosin derivative also has a tackifying effect, and a liquid rosin resin is particularly effective. Short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch A general technique is to mix so-called cut fibers obtained by cutting organic fibers into about 1 inch into rubber by a kneader.
However, this method is not suitable because the modulus of the rubber is increased and a firm feeling as a grip is secured, but the breaking physical properties such as tensile strength are impaired and the rubber is easily worn. On the other hand, the one used in the present invention is obtained by surface-treating organic short fibers with a substance having reactivity with rubber, kneading into rubber and melt-extruding it to disperse it in the form of ultrafine fibers. It is a thing.

The organic short fibers are, for example, polyamide short fibers such as nylon. Fiber diameter 0.05μm-0.8
It has a length of 10 μm to 200 μm and is extremely oriented in one direction in rubber. This organic short fiber is surface-treated with a material having reactivity with rubber. Here, as the "having reactivity with rubber", for example, a so-called novolak, such as an initial condensate of a novolak type phenol formaldehyde resin, is suitable.

When the amount of the tackifier is less than 20 parts by weight, the tackiness is inferior and there is no moist feeling, while when it exceeds 100 parts by weight, it becomes too soft. When the short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch has a short fiber amount of 1 to 7 parts by weight, the elasticity of the obtained grip is increased and a firm feeling is secured. If it is 8 parts by weight or more, it becomes difficult to disperse the short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch in the rubber, and the physical properties of the obtained grip are significantly impaired.

As described above, in the grip of the present invention, 20 to 100 parts by weight of the tackifier and the short fiber reinforced rubber masterbatch are used as the short fiber amount per 100 parts by weight of the natural rubber and / or the synthetic rubber. Since the rubber composition is composed of about 7 parts by weight, it is possible to improve the moist feeling and firm feeling without deteriorating the physical properties such as elongation and hardness.
