Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable non-required flower bulb to be eliminated by a method wherein there are provided dropping holes for small flower bulbs having no marketability as seed bulbs. CONSTITUTION: A watr discharging conveyor 9 is constructed such that transporting rugs 11 are fixed in a predetermined spacing on a conveyoer belt 10 and then it is operated such that cleaned bulbs are received on the transporting rugs 11 and transported. The dropping holes 12 are operated to blow off water droplets adhered to the surface of the bulb with a water discharging fan 13 and removes the water and drops it. In addition, the non-required bulbs dropped through the dropping holes 12 are received by a guiding shoot 14, guided and dropped in a downward direction and non-required bulbs are discharged out with a discharging belt conveyor 15. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to drop and select the non-required bulbs and further remove them, resulting in that no load is applied to a subsequent drying operation and they may be dried within a short period of time.
