Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent ultraviolet rays from being transmitted so as to eliminate the influence of ultraviolet rays to a driver and the like by mixing an ultraviolet absorbent in transparent or semitransparent synthetic resin so as to be more than the minimum necessary quantity for obtaining weather resistance. CONSTITUTION: After mixing optional pigment in pellets of synthetic resin as a main material of a side visor 1, an ultraviolet absorbent of more than the minimum necessary quantity for obtaining weather resistance of the synthetic resin is kneaded and mixed in it so as to obtain molding material. The molding material obtained in this way is melted and poured in the mold of side visor 1, heated, hardened, the mold is removed, and hence the side visor 1 of semitransparent in which the solar light S is transmitted to some extent, but ultraviolet ray UV is absorbed and not transmitted. Hereby even if a window is opened, there is no fear of irradiation of ultraviolet ray, and a driver and fellow passengers can be safely in the vehicle.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventional side visors for automobiles (hereinafter referred to as side visors) are synthetic resin products that are attached to the frames of the left and right doors, glass runs, etc. for the purpose of protection against rain and sunlight, and consider the weather resistance of synthetic resins. Then, the minimum necessary UV absorber is mixed. In addition, it is usually colorless and transparent, or semi-transparent even if colored in order to secure a field of view.

Therefore, the side visor allows not only sunlight but also ultraviolet rays to pass through. This is the amount of UV absorber that is usually used,
This is because the weather resistance is merely imparted to the synthetic resin and the ultraviolet absorbing effect is hardly obtained. In particular, when the window is opened, there is nothing that blocks ultraviolet rays, which causes not only sunburn but also spots and freckles in addition to sunburn, which is not desirable for beauty and health.

Therefore, the present invention provides a side visor which does not transmit ultraviolet rays, and the constitution thereof is a transparent or translucent synthetic resin, an ultraviolet absorber, and a usual weather resistance. The side visor is formed by mixing more than the amount used. Further, an ultraviolet absorbing layer may be formed inside or on the surface of a molded product of transparent or translucent synthetic resin.

[Function] Since the ultraviolet ray radiated to the side visor is absorbed and does not pass through by the ultraviolet ray absorbent mixed in a large amount with the synthetic resin as the main material, the influence of the ultraviolet ray on the driver is prevented even when the window is opened. . Similar ultraviolet absorbing action can be obtained by forming an ultraviolet absorbing layer inside or on the surface of a side visor molded article which is previously molded from synthetic resin.

EXAMPLES Examples of the present invention will be described below. Example 1 As shown in FIG. 1, a side visor 1 of this example comprises a strip-shaped collar portion 2 and an eaves portion 3 that extends over the entire length of the collar portion 2 and bulges downward. It is an integrally molded product made of synthetic resin bent in a letter shape, and the collar portion 2 has a double-sided tape 2a.
Is attached to the door frame 4, and the eaves portion 3 is supported from below the door frame 4 by the fittings 6 and the rivets 7. The side visor 1 is manufactured as follows. First, an arbitrary pigment is mixed with pellets of synthetic resin, which is a main material of the side visor, and then an ultraviolet absorber is kneaded and mixed in a larger amount than the minimum necessary to obtain the weather resistance of the synthetic resin to obtain a molding material. As the main material, a well-known synthetic resin such as an acrylic resin or a vinyl chloride resin is used, and as the ultraviolet absorber, for example, salicylate-based phenyl salicylate or hydroxybenzophenone-based 2-hydroxy-4-octate is used. Xybenzophenone or the like is adopted. When the molding material thus obtained is melted, poured into a mold of a side visor, heated and cured, and released from the mold, as shown in FIG. 1, even though the sunlight S is transmitted to some extent, ultraviolet rays UV are absorbed. It is possible to obtain the side visor 1 that does not pass through. Therefore, the driver and passengers can ride without worrying about UV irradiation even if they open the window. In addition, the UV absorber also has the function of preventing deterioration of the synthetic resin, which is the main material, as has been used conventionally. Will be obtained.

Example 2 On the other hand, the ultraviolet absorber can be used in the side visor as well as by kneading and mixing it in the pellets of the synthetic resin before injection molding. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment thereof, and the same reference numerals as those in FIG. That is, the ultraviolet absorber is applied to the entire surface of the molded product 1a of the side visor obtained by ordinary injection molding to form the ultraviolet absorber layer 5 with a predetermined thickness. Therefore, according to this structure, the ultraviolet absorbing layer 5 absorbs the ultraviolet UV and prevents the ultraviolet from passing therethrough, and the same effect as described above can be obtained. However, this coating may be carried out only on the surface of the eaves portion 3, and even if it is not coated with a UV absorber, for example, a film or sheet having a UV absorbing effect may be adhered to the whole surface or a part thereof. It is also possible to form an ultraviolet absorbing layer on the surface, or to form a three-layer structure in which synthetic resin layers are formed on the front and back sides with the sheet or the like sandwiched therebetween.

The shape and size of the side visor are not particularly limited in the present invention, and a short blade-shaped one can be applied instead of the above-mentioned character shape, and it is not limited to an integrally molded product, but a separate molding. The same kneading, mixing, or absorption as described above, even if the products, such as the brim and the eaves, or in the above-mentioned V-shape, are separately molded and assembled to the front bent part and the rear horizontal part, respectively. An ultraviolet absorbing function can be imparted by forming a layer.

As described above, according to the side visor of the present invention,
With the UV absorber used in a larger amount than usual, UV rays are absorbed by the side visor and do not pass therethrough, so that the influence of the UV rays on the driver and the like can be eliminated, and in particular, the UV ray preventing effect can be obtained even when the window is opened. Also, the weather resistance of the side visor is improved. On the other hand, even if an ultraviolet absorbing layer is formed inside or on the surface of a side visor which has been formed in advance, the same ultraviolet preventing effect can be obtained.
