An electric wire 8 is connected to the crimp terminal 1 having the above structure by the crimping method described below. That is, the electric wire 8 is positioned in the electric wire crimping portion 3 with the conductor 9 exposed after the coating 10 is peeled off at the end portion. Next, pressure is applied from the vertical direction indicated by the arrow by the crimp jigs 11 and 12, and the crimp portion 4a and the cover crimp portion 5 are crimped. Further, the crimp terminal 1 has a pair of caulking portions 4 as shown in FIG.
Laser light generated from the laser generator 13, for example, is emitted from the exposed welding portion 6 opened between a and 4b.
As a result, the conductor 9 and the terminal 1 were partially melted at the laser-irradiated portion, so that the electric wire 8 could be connected to the terminal 1 while being mechanically and electrically reinforced together with the pressure-bonding action.

Further, as the connection terminal, an electric wire (not shown) is pressed into the U-shaped slot A formed in, for example, two sets of pressure contact blades 18 and 19 as shown in FIG. Then, there is a so-called pressure contact terminal 17, which cuts the coating of the electric wire and connects the conductor and the pressure contact blades 18 and 19 so as to be able to conduct electricity. In particular, in such a pressure contact terminal 17, peeling work and caulking work of the electric wire coating can be made unnecessary and the working process can be reduced, but on the other hand, since the holding force against the pulling out of the electric wire is weak, various means have been taken. As a means,
There is one in which the conductor portion divided by the slot A and the surface of the slot A are welded. However, when the present inventor examined the connection structure of each electric wire in detail, it was found that there were the following problems.

That is, in the former crimp terminal structure, as described above, it is necessary to remove the coating, which complicates automation or diversification, and especially when laser irradiation is performed. As shown by the broken line in FIG. 10, electric discharge was generated between the plural twisted wires forming the conductor, and the irradiated part was melted and disappeared, and the electric wire connection became unstable. In the latter case, the connection between the conductor and the pressure contact terminal is made only by the thin end face of the pressure contact blade, which naturally causes high contact resistance, which is not preferable. Furthermore, when attempting to weld between the conductor and the slot surface, the exposed conductor and slot surface are so small that the work may become unstable and even the coating of the connection point may be melted. .

When the electric wire is pushed into the press contact blade by introducing the press contact terminal, the coating is split by the slot of the press contact blade so that the conductor and the terminal can be electrically connected. Further, by bringing a conductor composed of a plurality of core wires into contact with a contact protrusion provided at a position corresponding to the base of the slot, the conductor is distributed so as to be separated, and contacted with the inclined outer surface of the contact protrusion. . In such a state, when the non-contact welding is performed by irradiating the laser from the back side which is the inner side of the contact protrusion, the conductor is welded to the contact protrusion and the terminal to realize the electrical connection under low resistance. . Further, even if a cut or a through hole is formed in the contact protrusion, solder is introduced through the cut or through hole, and the conductor and the contact protrusion are soldered, the same electrical connection can be realized.

In this embodiment, melted solder (not shown) is poured from this cut 23a as indicated by the arrow to solder the contact protrusion 23 and the conductor 9 together. Needless to say, since the contact protrusion 23, the press contact blade 22, and the entire terminal are integrated, the terminal 9 and the conductor 9 are soldered by soldering the contact protrusion 23 to the conductor 9. Therefore,
Also in this embodiment, the pressure contact blade 22 can be easily and reliably connected to the exposed conductor 9 without the coating 10 as in the case of the first embodiment, and can be connected with low resistance.

As described above, according to the electric wire connection structure of the present invention, the electric wire is pushed into the crimping blade formed in the inverted Y shape, so that the crimping blade and the conductor are cut into the covering. In a conductive manner, and the conductor exposed by the contact protrusion is brought into close contact with the protrusion, and the contact protrusion and the conductor are melted and connected by, for example, a laser.
Alternatively, a cut or a hole is formed in the contact projection, and the conductor and the contact projection are soldered through the cut or the like. This makes it possible to omit the troublesome work such as peeling off the coating of the electric wire and crimping the pressure contact portion, which is suitable for automation, and the electric wire and the connection terminal provided with the pressure contact blade can be reliably connected with low contact resistance. Therefore, the reliability of the device using the connection terminal can be significantly improved. Further, the efficiency of the work of connecting the electric wires can be improved, and the production cost can be reduced.

That is, in the former crimp terminal structure, as described above, it is necessary to remove the coating, which complicates automation or diversification, and especially when laser irradiation is performed. As shown by the broken line in FIG. 10, irregular reflection occurs between the plural twisted wires forming the conductor, and the irradiated portion melts and disappears, resulting in unstable electric wire connection. In the latter case, the connection between the conductor and the pressure contact terminal is made only by the thin end face of the pressure contact blade, which naturally causes high contact resistance, which is not preferable. Furthermore, when attempting to weld between the conductor and the slot surface, the exposed conductor and slot surface are so small that the work may become unstable and even the coating of the connection point may be melted. .
