2. Description of the Related Art In an automobile trim, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 2-64242, an energy absorbing portion having a honeycomb structure is provided on the back surface of a trim body as a countermeasure against a side collision of a vehicle. It is known to protect the occupant by absorbing the collision energy by buckling deformation of the honeycomb-shaped energy absorbing portion when the occupant inertially moves to the side of the passenger compartment during a side collision of the vehicle. ing.

Since the energy absorbing portion has a honeycomb structure, when the resin material is molded, it is difficult to remove the mold regardless of whether the energy absorbing portion is integrally molded with the trim body or is molded separately. It cannot be denied that the moldability will deteriorate.

Further, since the energy absorbing portion has a honeycomb structure, the initial reaction force at the time of buckling deformation becomes large, and it becomes difficult to obtain an ideal low reaction force deformation mode.

Further, when the above-mentioned honeycomb structure is formed of a resin material, since the partition walls of the honeycomb need to be thickened to some extent in terms of molding, in order to reduce the initial reaction force during buckling deformation as much as possible, It is necessary to increase the protrusion height from the rear surface of the trim body, which not only narrows the vehicle interior space, but also causes a problem that the weight of the trim increases and goes against the weight reduction of the vehicle body.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, when a side collision of a vehicle or the like causes an occupant to inertially move to a side of a passenger compartment, interfere with the trim body, and a collision load acts axially on a rib on the rear surface of the trim body, the rib moves. Buckles and deforms between the trim body and the vehicle body panel to absorb collision energy.

At this time, since the rib for absorbing the collision energy is formed in a bridge shape between the pressure receiving portion and the supporting legs on both sides thereof, the bending deformation of the pressure receiving portion and the supporting leg portions on both sides and the auxiliary supporting leg portion between the supporting leg portions are formed. The buckling deformation of is smoothly performed, and the initial reaction force at the time of deformation can be suppressed to be small.

On the other hand, apart from such an advantage in absorbing the collision energy, the rib is a bridge and the auxiliary supporting leg is integrally formed in the same forming direction as the supporting leg, so that it is made of a resin material. When molding is performed, the molding die can be easily demolded regardless of whether it is integrally molded with the trim body or molded separately, and the moldability can be improved.

Further, since the ribs can be smoothly buckled and deformed and a sufficient deformation effective stroke can be secured, the height of protrusion from the rear surface of the trim main body can be suppressed to a relatively small value, and the vehicle interior space is not narrowed. .

According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the auxiliary support leg portion is provided with a plurality of thin-walled portions formed by forming slits from both side surfaces thereof so as to face each other, the auxiliary support leg portion is deformed from each thin-walled portion during buckling deformation. Since the buckling deformation in the axial direction is induced and the buckling deformation is smoothly performed, the buckling deformation in the entire axial direction of the rib can be promoted.

According to the third aspect, the slits on both side surfaces of the auxiliary supporting leg portion are formed to have a width narrower than the thickness width of the general portion of the auxiliary supporting leg portion. Therefore, when the buckling starts from the thin portion, the slit is formed. Since the upper and lower edges of the auxiliary support legs interfere with each other, bending deformation of the auxiliary supporting leg portions is suppressed, and the auxiliary supporting leg portions can be reliably buckled and deformed in the axial direction.

According to the structure of the above embodiment, the occupant inertially moves to the side of the passenger compartment during a side collision of the vehicle, the waist and shoulder of the occupant interfere with the trim body 1, and the ribs 4 are axially moved. When a load acts on the trim body 1 and the door inner panel D
The rib 4 undergoes buckling deformation with respect to a, and the buckling deformation of the rib 4 absorbs the collision energy.

Since the rib 4 is formed in a trapezoidal bridge shape with the pressure receiving portion 5 and the supporting legs 6, 6 on both sides thereof, the bending deformation of the pressure receiving portion 5 and the supporting legs 6, 6 on both sides, and The buckling deformation of the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 disposed in the middle portion between them is smoothly performed, and as shown by the line a, compared with the energy absorption characteristics (line b) of the conventional honeycomb structure as shown in FIG. The initial reaction force at the time of deformation can be suppressed to be small, the characteristics can be stabilized, and the collision energy can be efficiently absorbed.

In particular, in this embodiment, since the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 is formed with a plurality of thin portions 8 which are formed by forming slits 9 on both sides of the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 so as to face each other, the rib 4 is formed.
At the time of buckling deformation of the ribs 4, the auxiliary supporting leg portions 7 are smoothly buckled by inducing axial buckling deformation from each thin portion 8 and
The overall axial buckling deformation of the can be promoted, and an efficient collision energy absorbing action can be performed.

Moreover, since the groove width L of the slit 9 is formed sufficiently narrower than the thickness width T of the general portion of the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7, when the buckling starts from the thin portion 8, the auxiliary supporting leg portion is formed. 7
Even if bending deformation is attempted, the upper and lower edges of the slit 9 immediately interfere with each other to suppress this bending deformation, and the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 can be reliably buckled and deformed in the axial direction.

Further, by adjusting the set number of the auxiliary supporting legs 7 as shown by the chain line in FIG. 3 or by adjusting the number of molding steps of the thin portion 8 of the auxiliary supporting legs 7, the collision energy absorption characteristics can be improved. It can be adjusted arbitrarily, and the required optimum collision energy absorption characteristic can be easily obtained.

On the other hand, apart from such an effect on the impact energy absorption characteristics, the rib 4 is formed into a bridge shape which is easy to form, and the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 has the supporting leg portions 6 and 6.
Since it is formed in the same forming direction as that of No. 6 and is aligned with the die-cutting direction of the forming die (not shown), the die-forming of the forming die can be easily performed and the formability can be improved.

Further, as described above, the rib 4 can be smoothly buckled and deformed, and a sufficient deformation effective stroke can be secured, so that the protruding height from the rear surface 1a of the trim body 1 can be suppressed to be relatively small. Therefore, it does not reduce the vehicle interior space.

FIG. 5 shows a different example of the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7. In this embodiment, a plurality of thin portions 8 formed in multiple steps on the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 have different thickness widths. The thickness width of the thin portion 8 is gradually reduced from both ends in the protruding height direction of the supporting leg portion 7 to the central portion, and the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 is formed.

By forming the plurality of thin portions 8 of the auxiliary supporting leg portion 7 with different thickness widths as in this embodiment,

(1) The rib provided on the rear surface of the trim body is formed in a bridge shape between the pressure receiving portion and the supporting legs on both sides thereof, and the auxiliary supporting leg portion is integrally formed on the rear surface of the pressure receiving portion in the same forming direction as these supporting leg portions. Since it is molded, when the rib receives a collision load in the axial direction, such as during a side collision of the vehicle, the bending deformation of the pressure receiving part and the buckling deformation of the supporting leg part and the auxiliary supporting leg part are smoothly performed, and the ribs are deformed. The initial reaction force at the time can be suppressed to a small level to absorb the collision energy, and the occupant can be protected safely.
