Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a safe and efficient catheter by providing a suction pipe with a side pipe to be installed in combination therewith, opening both at the front ends and forming a catheter in such a manner that the front end of an intermediate partition wall leaves a gap without arriving at the front end of the catheter and or the front end of the intermediate wall is notched to make the intermediate wall vibratable at the time of use. CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure is generated in a suction pipe cavity 1 and the phlegm, etc., to be sucked are sucked to the front end of the catheter when the suction pipe is connected to a suction pipe and the negative pressure is applied thereon in the case of the shape lacking the intermediate wall 3 of the front end. The effect of this negative pressure acts on the side pipe through the non-closed lacking part according to this suction and, therefore, the air and medicinal liquid in the side pipe cavity 2 are eventually sucked out through the lacking part to the suction pipe cavity 1 side. The sucked out flow simultaneously washes the viscous object, such as phlegm 8, at the front end of the catheter, thus having the effect of making the suction easy and preventing the closing of the lacking part with the object. For example, a danger of forming an atelectasis is averted at the time of sucking the phlegm of the lung.

2. Description of the Related Art Most suction catheters used in the medical field consist of a single tube. Therefore, the technique of suction sometimes creates an abnormal state for the human body. In the case of aspirating sputum from the bronchus of the lung, for example, when the tip of the aspiration tube fits into the lumen of the bronchus, the part in front of it receives the negative pressure of suction directly and is physiologically excessively negative. This creates pressure, which causes the anterior bronchi to collapse and become atelectasis. This causes dyspnea and pneumonia. (Fig. 4 a, b, c)

[0003] One of the conventional methods is the Terumo Safide gastric tube catheter. This is a gastric tube catheter with a side tube, and the tip part is basically closed so that the side tube reaches the vicinity of the tip and has a side hole in the suction tube. The difference from the present invention will be described later.

Taking as an example the suction of sputum in the bronchus as shown in FIG. 4, when the tip of the suction tube advances into the bronchus and fits into the lumen, the space in front of it is sucked. Directly receives negative pressure, resulting in collapsed bronchi (atelectasis). This causes pneumonia and dyspnea.

In order to solve the above problems, in the catheter of the present invention,
Provide a side tube attached to the suction tube (Fig. 1, 2, 3),
In either case, the tip of the catheter is open, and the tip of the intermediate partition wall (intermediate wall) is partially missing (Fig. 1). D. The tip of the intermediate wall does not reach the catheter tip, leaving a gap. Shaped (Fig. 2), or (e) Make one or more notches on the tip of the intermediate wall so that the tip of the intermediate wall can vibrate during use (Fig. 3).

Therefore, if the side portion of the side tube is exposed to the atmosphere, air is sucked, and if the side tube is placed in a physiological saline solution or a cleaning chemical solution, those solutions are sucked into the side tube in accordance with the negative pressure at the tip. It then reaches the tip (Fig. 6).

The difference between the above-mentioned Terumo gastric tube catheter and the present invention is that, in the present invention, both the suction tube and the side tube are opened at the most distal end, and the air and the washing liquid from the side tube are also opened. That is, the structure of the flow directly contacts the object to be sucked (FIG. 6).

In the case where the tip portion shown in FIG. 1 is missing, when a suction tube is connected to a suction device and negative pressure is applied, the result shown in FIG.
As the inside of the suction tube becomes negative pressure, the sputum to be suctioned is sucked to the tip of the catheter, but the negative pressure action also extends to the side tube through the deficient portion that is not yet blocked, and therefore the air inside the side tube is sucked. The drug solution and the drug solution are sucked out to the suction tube side through the defective portion. The sucked flow has the effects of simultaneously washing a viscous object such as sputum at the tip of the catheter to facilitate suction and preventing the defect from being blocked by the object.

In the case of this shape, the practical situation is almost similar to that of the first aspect, but since the defective portion has a wider shape, so to speak, it is difficult for the object to be clogged at the tip portion.

Further, in the case of the shape of claim 3, as shown in FIG. 3, a notch is formed in the tip portion of the intermediate wall (which is considered to be a deformation of the "missing" shown in claim 1), and therefore the tip portion of the intermediate wall is air. The liquid or drug solution can pass therethrough and vibrate at that time, and when suctioning, the viscous target object sucked at the tip can be effectively sucked.

When there is one cut near the center of the intermediate wall, the intermediate walls on both sides of the cut open to the suction tube side in accordance with the negative pressure of the suction lumen, and the opening formed therein is defined in claim 1. When there are two cuts, the region sandwiched between them is pulled toward the suction tube and the movement thereof is different from the case where there is one cut, but an opening is formed at the tip of the intermediate wall. Compared with the conventional single-tube suction tube, the suction is performed while substituting the air or the chemical liquid for cleaning, so that the object can be easily washed by air or the chemical liquid, and for example, sputum of the lung.
