(Prior Art) The copper plate has a patina coating on its surface after many years of use, and exhibits excellent appearance and corrosion resistance. However, as is well known, it takes quite a long time before patina develops, and the patinas do not occur uniformly at the same time, and the appearance is unsightly until the whole occurs. Therefore, conventionally, a patina film has been artificially formed by treating with an inorganic chemical.

In this method, the surface of the copper plate is roughened and immersed in an aqueous solution containing copper sulfate, acetic acid, sodium chloride and basic copper carbonate to adjust the surface, and then concentrated hydrochloric acid, copper acetate, copper carbonate, arsenous acid, ammonium chloride and copper nitrate are added. A method of forming a patina film by repeatedly spraying and drying an aqueous solution containing it, and a clear paint is applied on it to protect the film, if necessary. However, although the artificial patina film formed by this method contains basic copper carbonate, its composition is different from that of naturally-occurring patina so that it is inferior in weather resistance and corrosion resistance and, since it is an inorganic compound, it is also inferior in workability.

Therefore, the present inventors have previously proposed a water-soluble thermosetting coating composition toned with a basic copper carbonate, which is generally applicable to not only a copper plate but also a metal material in order to eliminate such a drawback (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-61).
-43672 publication). This coating composition can be made by using basic copper carbonate, which has not been used as a pigment, as a pigment, and by dispersing the stable dispersion suspension in a water-soluble coating that is difficult with an organic solvent type coating that is usually acidic. The coating film is significantly superior to the conventional artificial patina film in corrosion resistance, weather resistance and workability.

However, since the coating film of this coating composition has a single color tone, it has been desired to form a coating film having a three-dimensional effect and excellent design characteristics depending on the application.

As a method of imparting a three-dimensional effect to a coating film, a partial coating method in which a green-blue coating composition is conventionally applied and then a paint of another color tone is sprayed, or a pattern plate is prepared and an ink of another color tone is printed. Although the method is known, even if a three-dimensional effect is imparted by these methods, there is a limit because the three-dimensional effect is due to the contrast of the color tone, and the production requires a spray device, a plate, etc. Since additional steps are required, an increase in manufacturing cost is inevitable.

(Means for Solving Problems) As a result of various investigations by the inventors of the present invention on a coating capable of forming a coating film having a three-dimensional effect and excellent designability by a single coating, the base A paint that mixes synthetic resin beads colored in a color other than patina with a water-soluble paint toned with water-soluble copper carbonate or other green-blue pigment to give the coating film a three-dimensional effect with depth and depth from both sides Was developed. That is, the present inventors have used water-soluble thermosetting resin in an amount of 10 to 30
30 to 50 parts by weight of one part or more of basic copper carbonate, basic copper sulfate or basic copper acetate and 2 to 10 parts by weight of water-insoluble resin beads colored in a color different from green-blue. A water-soluble thermosetting resin coating material was developed which was blended in a ratio of parts and dispersed or dissolved in a solvent.

The reason why the paint is made water-soluble in the present invention is that basic copper carbonate or the like is basic, and therefore it cannot be stably dispersed and suspended in a solvent type. For the same reason.

The resin beads are added to give a deep three-dimensional effect to the coating film in terms of color and particle size, and those colored in a color other than green-blue are used. One color is usually enough, but
If desired, two or more colors may be used. It is preferable to use a particle size of 30 to 80 μm for the purpose of forming irregularities on the coating film. If it is less than 30 μm, a three-dimensional effect will not be obtained even if the coating thickness is the minimum thickness that can ensure corrosion resistance and weather resistance, and if it exceeds 80 μm, spray painting becomes difficult, or if the roll coating method is used, it becomes streaky. -Shaped coating film scratches are likely to occur. The resin of this bead causes the viscosity of the paint to increase during storage when dissolved in a solvent, and the three-dimensional effect deteriorates when it is easily altered or discolored outdoors, so it is water-insoluble and has excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance. To use. Preferred resins that satisfy such conditions include acrylic resins, polyamide resins, and fluororesins.

The present invention is one in which the above components are dispersed or dissolved in a solvent, and each component comprises 10 to 30 parts by weight of a water-soluble thermosetting resin, 30 to 50 parts by weight of a green-blue pigment, and 2 to 10 resin beads.
Disperse or dissolve in a proportion of parts by weight. If the proportion of the green-blue pigment is less than 30 parts by weight, the hiding power will be weakened, and if it exceeds 50 parts by weight, the processability of the coating film will be deteriorated, and even if it is added in excess, the color tone will not be deep and it is not economical. If the proportion of resin beads is less than 2 parts by weight, the pattern becomes rough, and if it exceeds 10 parts by weight, the pattern becomes conversely fine, and in either case, a sufficient three-dimensional effect cannot be obtained.

As a coating method, when the coating material is directly coated, the dry coating film thickness is usually 7 to 35 μm, and when it is coated via a primer, it is 5 to 25 μm. This is because if the coating thickness is less than 5 μm, the corrosion resistance and weather resistance will be insufficient even if a primer is applied, and if it exceeds 35 μm, it will be difficult to apply a uniform appearance and the workability of the coating will be poor. Because it will decrease.

It is necessary to carry out the drying at a temperature at which the resin undergoes a crosslinking reaction sufficiently.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, when the coating material of the present invention is used, a coating film having a three-dimensional effect can be formed once, so that the coating material can be manufactured at a lower cost than the conventional method. In addition, since the coating film can be formed to have a three-dimensional effect from the both sides of unevenness and color tone, the coating film can have a more three-dimensional effect than that formed by the conventional method. Therefore, according to the coating material of the present invention, it is possible to easily manufacture a coating material which has recently been highly demanded and has an excellent design property.
