ト方式の実施例も見受けられるが、小形化,経済化及び
今後予想される電話交換機,コンピューター等の架内配
線の高密度化には対応が困難であった。

上記の目的を達成するために本発明の光コネクタは、円
筒状フェルールの中心部にファイバを挿入する細穴を設
け、該フェルールをファイバを保護するとともに光コネ
クタとアダプタとの嵌合時のフェルールの回転を防止す
る凸部を有する略円筒状のフードに圧入した一体部品と
光コネクタとアダプタとの嵌合時の押圧を確保するスプ
リングと、光コネクタとアダプタとの嵌合時にアダプタ
のハウジングの外周に装着されその円筒外周に設けたス
リットによりバネ性を有するホルダと、上記嵌合の繰返
しによるバネの を防止する割りリングとから成り、部品点数の少ない小
形のプッシュオン式光コネクタとなしたことを特徴とす
る。

以下本発明の実施例を図面によって説明する。第1図は
本発明の光コネクタの一実施例の半断面図で第2図はそ
の正面図である。中心に光ファイバ7を挿入する細穴を
有するフェルール1と、該フェルール1を圧入して保持
するフード2は一体部品となり、前記フード2の先端嵌
合側には1箇所回転防止用の凸部2aを有し、前記フード
2の周上には第3図に示すアダプタ又はレセプタクル
(以下アダプタという)を介して互いに嵌合する場合の
接続の安定を得るため一定押圧を確保するスプリング3
を組込み、更には、前記アダプタと嵌合後ロックする為
の略円筒状のホルダ4を第1図の後端から挿入し、Cリ
ング6でフード2に固定する。第5図に示すように、前
記ホルダ4の嵌合面側には円筒内外面側にバネ性を発輝
する為に適当な長さのスリット4aを数箇所設け、次いで
嵌合時アダプタとロックする凸部4bを有し、更にスリッ
ト4aの外周上には繰返し着脱等によるバネ性の低下 防止の目的で割りリング5を装着してある。

Claims (1)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】フェルール中心に光ファイバを挿入する細
穴を設け、該フェルールを光コネクタとアダプタとの嵌
合時にフェルールの回転を防止する凸部を有する略円筒
状のフードに圧入した一体部品と、上記嵌合時に一定押
圧を確保するスプリングと、上記嵌合時にアダプタのハ
ウジングの外周部に装着されるように上記一体部品側に
取付けられその外周部に設けたスリットによりバネ性を
有するホルダと、該ホルダの外側に取付けられ上記ホル
ダのバネ性を補強する割りリングとから成ることを特徴
とする光コネクタ。
