Abstract

PURPOSE:To grasp the intermediate part of two-split cases without feeling heat by covering the outer periphery of the intermediate part of the two-split cases corresponding to the position for covering a heating device with a heat insulating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Two-split cases 1a, 1b butted against each other are inserted from the front thereof in a heat insulating cylinder 50 having a C-shaped section, whereby the outer peripheries of the two-split cases 1a, 1b corresponding to the outer periphery of a heating device 5 have a heat insulation structure, and a fastening function of holding the butting state of the two-split cases 1a, 1b is exhibited. The surface temperature of that portion can be prevented from being raised by heat of the heating device 5 by the heat insulating action of the heat insulating cylinder 50 so as to be easy to grasp. Thermal expansion deformation of that portion of the two-split cases 1a, 1b can be restrained by the fastening action of the heat insulating cylinder 50 so that, even if a gap is produced between the butted ends of the two-split cases 1a, 1b at that portion by thermal deformation, leakage of air can be prevented by the heat insulating cylinder 50 for covering the outer periphery.

2. Description of the Related Art In a hair dryer, a body case formed by abutting plastic two-piece cases is known, for example, from Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 58-56561 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 54-105782. In this case, a two-part case that is butted against each other is fitted integrally with a cylindrical body or a ring body at the front and rear ends of the case or at the outer periphery of either one of them, but at an intermediate portion between the front and rear ends, that is, a grip. The portion holds the abutted state of the relevant portion only by engaging the engaged portion and the engaged portion provided between the abutting end edges of the two-divided case.

However, the intermediate portion between the front and rear ends of the two-piece case is a portion in which a heat generating device such as a heater is housed and arranged, and is particularly susceptible to heat from the heat generating device. Therefore, as in the prior art example in which the location has been described above, the engaging portion and the engaged portion are not provided only by engaging the engaging portion and the engaged portion provided between the abutting end edges of the two-divided case. The surrounding area is easily deformed by heat, and these engaging and engaged parts are provided on the inner surface of the case so that they cannot be seen by the user and the appearance is not damaged. It is difficult to make them and it is difficult to divide them at the time of breakdown or inspection. In particular, since only the front and rear ends of the two-part split case are strongly fastened together with a ring body or the like, thermal expansion deformation is likely to occur locally at an intermediate portion where the abutting state between the front and rear ends is rough. As a result of this deformation, the middle part of the two-part case becomes jerky due to the grip force, and it becomes difficult to grip due to the high temperature. Not only that, the abutting edges of the two-part split case are easily separated from each other, and a gap is created between them, which easily causes air leakage, and exposes part of the heat generating device, which may cause an electric shock accident. . I mean,
If a screw is used to strongly tighten the abutting edges of the middle part of the two-piece case, not only the number of steps for tightening the screw is required, but also a boss for holding the screw needs to be provided at the abutting edge of the two-piece case. Occurs, and this boss projects into the ventilation passage and disturbs the flow of wind, so
It is important to avoid fastening with screws at these points as much as possible.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fastening means at an intermediate portion between the front and rear ends of the main body case in which the front and rear ends of the two divided cases that are butted against each other are fastened with a ring or the like. It is to provide a hair dryer that makes it easy to grasp the location by making some efforts, prevents air leakage, and eliminates screw fastening.

As described above, in the hair dryer of the present invention, the heat insulating cylinder 50 covers the outer periphery corresponding to the intermediate position between the front and rear ends of the two-piece casings 1a and 1b and the position where the heating device 5 is covered. As a result, the intermediate portions of the two-part split cases 1a and 1b are integrally fastened. Therefore, at the time of use, the intermediate portion between the front and rear ends of the two-part split case can be grasped without feeling heat, and further, the thermal expansion deformation of the portion can be suppressed, and even if it is slightly deformed, a gap is formed between the butt edges. Even if possible, since this gap is covered by the heat insulating cylinder 50, it is possible to prevent ventilation leakage and electric shock accidents. Further, since the abutting state can be firmly secured together with the ring 53 and the tube 57 that fasten the front and rear ends of the two-divided cases 1a and 1b, respectively, the abutting edges of the two-divided cases 1a and 1b can be simply opened. There is no need to separate them, and screw fastening can be omitted, and breakdown and disassembly during inspection are easy.
