号を供給するに、記録ヘッドとキャリッジに夫々電気的
接点を設け、記録ヘッドがキャリッジに搭載された時に
両者の電気的接点が接触し記録ヘッドに駆動電力及び信
号の供給が行われることが提案されている。この時、記
録ヘッドはキャリッジの上に搭載される形式のものが多
く、この為、記録ヘッド側の電気的接点は該記録ヘッド
の下部に設けられるのが普通である。更にインクを噴射
するオリフィスの存するオリフィス面と前記電気的接点
を有する電気配線基板とが同一平面上に形成された記録
ヘッドにおいては、上述した理由によりオリフィス面よ
り下側に電気的接点が設けられるためにオリフィスより
こぼれ落ちるインクにより電気的接点が汚されまた電気
的接点が腐蝕したり接触不良を起こし、液体(インク)
が吐出しなかったり、吐出状態が不安定になるという不
都合を来たした。
