Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a transmission-line monitoring apparatus, which can acquire the state of a transmission line by recording a picture when the abnormal shake of the transmission line is detected in the apparatus, wherein a color camera is provided on a steel tower and the abnormal shake of the transmission line is automatically detected based on the picture of the color camera. CONSTITUTION:A color camera 1 having a color extracting means 2 for extracting only the color of a transmission line is provided on a steel tower. The position of the center of gravity of the transmission line is measured by using the picture obtained by the color extracting means 2. The difference between the position of the center of gravity and the reference position of the center of gravity of the transmission line is computed. When the difference becomes larger than a certain threshold value, it is judged by a judging means 7 that the transmission line is abnormally shaking. A picture recording means 9 displays the warning based on the signal outputted from the judging means 7 and records the picture of the color image at the time of the abnormality in a VTR and the like.

A feature of the present invention is that the color of the power transmission line portion is extracted from the image to be monitored, and as an image taken by the camera, an image that is unnecessary for monitoring as much as possible, for example, an image of a background landscape is deleted. The purpose is to clearly display only the image of the object to be monitored on the imaging screen.

In the present invention, there are various methods for selecting the reference fixed point position of the power transmission line, for example, the point at the lowest position when the power transmission line is in a natural state without wind or the like. You can also select the line thickness of the transmission line,
If the length, the shape of the cross section, etc. are known and the position of the center of gravity can be calculated, the position of the center of gravity may be selected, and further, an accessory attached to the power transmission line in advance may be selected. What is important is that the reference fixed point position can be discriminated from the fixed point position selected in advance when the transmission line is shaken due to strong winds, etc. is there. Since the position of the center of gravity of the point transmission line can be calculated only by the shape of the transmission line when moving (including the influence of the camera angle etc.), it is a preferable selection.

The threshold value is determined empirically if the type of the power transmission line is determined, and the movement distance of the power transmission line and the threshold value can be easily compared by using a comparison circuit, for example. Of course, other means can also be used.

When an aircraft, a bird, or the like approaches a power transmission line, the method of displaying the aircraft, the bird, or the like as a point in an image pickup screen separately from the background is to radiate the radiation from the camera position and reflect it. A method such as observing may be used and can be realized by various means.

However, when the position of the power transmission line and the position of the object become smaller than a certain threshold value, a sound is emitted or a warning such as emitting a light ray is issued to warn an approaching aircraft or bird. Doing is an excellent way to avoid damage. This is because it cannot be said that it is effective even if an image record of the scene is left after the damage occurs.

The color extraction image recorded in the image memory 3 has its center of gravity (fixed point) measured through the center of gravity position measuring means 4 for measuring the center of gravity of the color extraction portion, that is, the transmission line portion. Then, it passes through the transmission line shake calculation means 5 which is set in advance and takes the difference from the reference fixed point position. The difference between the center of gravity position of the power transmission line 11 and the reference fixed point position obtained by the power transmission line blurring calculation means 5 is (Δx, Δy, Δz).
In the case of, the distance D from the reference fixed point position is calculated by the distance calculating means 6 as D in the relational expression D 2 = Δx 2 + Δy 2 + Δz 2, and the numerical value (D) calculated by the distance calculating means 6 is calculated. When a certain threshold is exceeded, a signal is output through the determination means 7 that determines that the transmission line 11 has an abnormal shake.
