つのU形コの背面をしめて閉磁路に保持する構造である
が、UU型コアは2つのコアの突き合わせ面に空隙がある
ので、直流電流が重畳した時に効果を持つ所要の漏れ磁
束が得られる一方、主インダクタンスは空隙のため値が
低くなるため巻回数を多くして実現しており、形状が大
きなものとなっていた。
