(Prior Art) In recent years, an electrostatic transfer copying machine has remarkably improved in image quality, and has come close to a general printing machine in resolution, fine line reproducibility, and halftone reproducibility. However, when transferring a latent image to paper, etc., paper dust adhering to the photoconductor, etc., mixes with the developer and accumulates as the number of copies increases, which appears on the image and causes the image quality to deteriorate. It was

The operation of the developing device thus configured will be described. Developer 3 uniformly disintegrated by stirring devices 5 and 6
Is attracted to the surface of the magnet roll 4 which rotates in the clockwise direction, the ears thereof become uniform at the head of the regulating plate 7, and is conveyed to the photoconductor 1 to develop the latent image. The developer 3 which plays the role of development and remains on the surface of the magnet roll 4.
Are scraped off by the scraper 8 and fall on the scraper 8. The developer 3 scraped off by the scraper 8 is affected by the magnetic force of the magnet roll 4, and a part thereof forms a pool 3 a on the scraper 8.

On the other hand, the fiber bundle 10 of the paper dust removing brush rubs against the developer 3 to be charged and adsorbs the paper dust mixed in the developer 3. The adsorption force varies depending on the amount of charge, the fiber density and the shape of the fiber, but paper powder with a light mass can be semi-permanently captured. Heavy paper dust is a bundle of fibers from a paper dust remover brush.
The flow is obstructed by 10, and floats up on the upper surface of the pool 3a.
The filter 9 of the paper dust removing brush entangles the paper dust floating on the upper surface of the pool 3a and removes it from the developer 3. Small dust other than paper dust is also cleaned at the same time.

Paper dust or the like adsorbed or entangled with the paper dust removal brush can be easily cleaned by loosening the small screw 12 and removing the paper dust removal brush.

In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the fiber bundle 10 of the paper dust removing brush is flowed by the developer 3 and a gap is generated between the fiber bundle 10 and the filter 9 fixed in front of the developer 3. , The paper dust etc. floating on the upper surface of the pool 3a is caught in this gap,
When the magnet roll 4 stops and the flow of the developer 3 stops, the fiber bundle 10 returns and the gap formed between the fiber bundle 10 and the filter 9 closes, so that the paper dust and the like trapped therein is trapped as it is. Therefore, it does not mix in the developer 3.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, the tip of the paper dust removing brush made of a flexible fiber, in particular, an elastic fiber of an insulating polymer material is scraped off with a scraper. By arranging so as to be buried in the developer flow, it is possible to adsorb and remove light mass paper dust and dust mixed in the developer by utilizing the charge generated by friction with the developer. Further, a heavy-weight paper dust and dust mixed in the developer can be removed by a filter using a non-woven sheet made of a polymer material attached to the front side of the paper dust removing brush. Further, since the paper dust or the like caught by the paper dust removing brush can be easily removed and cleaned, it is possible to obtain a developing device of excellent quality in which the image quality is not deteriorated by the paper dust or dust.
