PURPOSE:To provide a main shaft water sealing device capable of adjusting a labyrinth gap between the outer peripheral surface of a runner boss fitted to a main shaft and a labyrinth ring. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral surface of a runner boss 2a fitted to a main shaft 1 and an inner circumferential surface of the labyrinth ring 3 in contact with each other are provided with the same inclination in the opposite directions, and a fixing height of a labyrinth ring 3 to an upper cover is changed by a liner 8, so as to adjust a labyrinth gap 6. Consequently, the labyrinth gap 6 becomes adjustable. Moreover, when leaking water is increased, the labyrinth gap 6 can narrowed by making the liner 8 thinner.
