Further, as a slip-on type pipe joint provided with a separation preventing function, a lock ring is attached to a lock ring accommodating groove formed on the inner circumference of the receiving port and inserted into this receiving port. It is known that a protrusion is provided on the outer periphery of the tip of the insertion opening to prevent the insertion opening from being removed from the receiving opening by engaging with the lock ring. With the separation prevention pipe joint having such a configuration, when the insertion port is inserted into the receiving port, the diameter of the lock ring is temporarily increased by using the inclined surface formed at the tip of the protrusion of the insertion port as a guide. The protrusion can pass through the inside of the lock ring toward the rear side of the receiving port.

In this type of separation prevention pipe joint, the inner diameter of the open end of the receiving port is formed large in order to allow passage of the projection at the tip of the insertion port. Therefore, when joining of the joint is completed, a gap of a certain size is created between the inner circumference of the opening end of the receiving opening and the outer circumference of the insertion opening. Can be given.

When the joining device 21 is set as shown in FIG. 3, the manual pump 28 is operated to operate the cylinder device 25.
Contract. Then, the insertion hole clamp 23 is attached to the stopper 1.
7 and the eccentric roller 24 engages with the cylinder device 2
It is rotated by the contracting force of 5 and tightens on the outer surface of the insertion slot 7. Then, when the cylinder device 25 is further contracted,
The insertion opening 7 is inserted into the receiving opening 1 through the opening 13. Then, the insertion opening 7 is first pushed into the sealing material 3 by the guide of the inclined surface 9, and the sealing material 3 is compressed between the outer circumference of the insertion opening 7 and the inner circumference of the receiving opening 1 to be inserted into the receiving opening 1. A seal with the mouth 7 is ensured. Further, the lock ring 5 is held by the centering ring 6 without being eccentric, and in this state, the insertion port 7
When the lock ring 5 is pushed toward the inner peripheral side of the lock ring 5, the lock ring 5 is elastically expanded similarly by the inclined surfaces 9 and 18, and when the insertion opening 7 is further pushed, the protrusion 8 passes through the lock ring 5. To do. After that, the lock ring 5 returns to the original state and surely fits on the outer periphery of the insertion slot 7. Therefore, even if the insertion opening 7 tries to move in a direction away from the receiving opening 1, the projection 8 comes into contact with and engages with the inner side surface of the lock ring 5, so that a reliable removal preventing function is exerted.

With this, the joining work of the joint is completed, so that the state shown in FIG. 1 is obtained by removing the joining device 21. As described above, a slight expansion and contraction dimension remains between the receiving opening 1 and the insertion opening 7, and FIG. 4 shows a state in which the insertion opening 7 is pushed most into the receiving opening 1. 5
Shows the state that the most out of the socket 1. As shown in the drawings, in any case, the bending preventing projection 15 faces the inner peripheral surface of the opening 13 of the receiving port 1, and a reliable bending preventing effect can be obtained. Further, the projection 15 is dimensioned so as not to hit the sealing material 3 even in the case shown in FIG.
