Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject tape of high operability in coating of the outer walls of buildings, comprising the adhesive layer, the base material layer, the waterproof coating layer and the release paper layer in turn from the substrate with a prescribed adhesion, thus enabling only the release paper to be readily peeled off with a weak force. CONSTITUTION:The subject tape has the adhesive layer 11, the base material layer 12, the waterproof coating layer 14 having almost smooth surface 13 and the release paper layer 14 in turn from the substrate. The adhesion between the waterproof coating layer 13 and the release paper layer 14 is weaker than any of those between the substrate and the adhesive layer 11, between the adhesive layer 11 and the base material layer 12, and between the base material layer 12 and the waterproof coating layer 13 so that only the release paper layer 14 can be peeled off with a weak force. The tape 1 is preferably used to age the three-dimensional coating pattern on the outer walls of house buildings.

On the other hand, there is a building called a unit building in which a building unit having a transportable size is manufactured in advance in a factory, and a plurality of the building units are transported to a construction site, assembled and joined into one building. One of the main advantages of this unit building is that the factory production rate is high and the on-site construction period can be shortened, and it is common to complete the painting of the outer walls at the factory.

[0004] When the uneven pattern spray coating is adopted in a unit building, it may be necessary to leave a smooth painted surface on the part without the uneven pattern because of the waterproof treatment of the on-site joint. This is because the waterproof seal material does not fit well on the uneven pattern portion. A masking tape is used to perform the spraying of the uneven pattern while leaving a partially smooth coating surface, and a coating curing method including the following process steps has been conventionally performed. (See Figure 4)

In the first step, the surface to be coated is undercoated and dried. As the second step, smooth coating is performed and drying is performed. As a third step, a masking tape is attached to the portion to be left as a smooth surface. As the fourth step, the uneven pattern is painted and dried. As a fifth step, the masking tape attached in the third step is peeled off and removed. That is, the part where the masking tape is peeled off exposes the smooth coated surface coated in the second step and remains as a smooth surface.

However, the conventional coating curing method using the masking tape having such a simple structure has the following problems. That is, if the drying of the base to which the masking tape is applied, in this case, the drying of the smooth coating in the second step is insufficient, the adhesion and cohesive force of the coating film of the smooth coating will not be sufficiently expressed, and When the masking tape is peeled off in the fifth step, it is peeled off together with the masking tape in a state where the coating film of smooth coating adheres to the masking tape side. As a result, the waterproofness of the outer wall and the like is remarkably lowered, and the outer wall and the like have a serious problem in terms of quality such that water is absorbed and causes corrosion and freeze damage.

In order to deal with this problem, it is ideal that the drying in the second step is carried out sufficiently over a long period of time, but it is not realistic considering the demand for the production amount and the restrictions on the equipment.
As described above, it has been difficult in the conventional technique to achieve both coating productivity and quality.

In order to achieve the above object, the tape with a waterproof coating according to claim 1 has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a base material layer, and a substantially smooth surface when viewed from the adherend side. It consists of a waterproof coating layer and a release paper layer, and the adhesive force between the waterproof coating layer and the release paper layer is the adhesive force between the adherend and the adhesive layer, and the adhesive force between the adhesive layer and the base material layer. The adhesive strength between the base material layer and the waterproof coating layer is smaller than that of the base material layer, and only the release paper layer can be peeled off with a slight force.

The release paper layer of this tape is made of foreign paper, Japanese paper, synthetic resin film, etc., and its thickness is preferably 20-40 .mu.m. The release paper layer and the waterproof coating layer are attached by the slight adhesive force which the surface of the waterproof coating layer itself has, and are not peeled off naturally, but can be easily peeled off. Further, an adhesive layer may be added or surface treatment of the release paper layer may be performed in order to appropriately adjust the adhesive force between the two layers.

The coating curing method according to the second aspect comprises the following steps. (Refer to FIG. 2) As a first step, the surface to be coated is undercoated and dried. As a second step, the tape with the waterproof coating film according to claim 1 is attached to a portion to be left as a smooth surface. As the third step, smooth coating is applied and drying is performed. As the fourth step, the uneven pattern is painted and dried. As the fifth step, only the release paper layer of the tape with the waterproof coating applied in the second step is peeled and removed. The smooth surface of the waterproof coating layer is exposed and remains as a smooth surface in the portion of the tape with the waterproof coating layer from which the release paper layer has been peeled off.

The release paper layer of the tape with the waterproof coating film is peeled off and removed with a slight force, and the waterproof coating film layer, the base material layer and the adhesive layer are left as they are on the coated surface such as the outer wall. Therefore, even if the undercoat of the tape, that is, the undercoating coating is not sufficiently dried, the undercoating coating film is not peeled off when the release paper layer is removed, and the tape is used as a waterproof coating film layer. At the same time, the waterproofness of the outer wall etc. is completely ensured.

As described in detail above, according to the tape with a waterproof coating film of the present invention and the coating curing method using this tape, the coating film is not sufficiently dried in the coating step. Also, it is possible to carry out the spraying with the uneven pattern while leaving the smooth surface partially without causing the above-mentioned quality problem. Therefore, it is a very effective technique for achieving both coating productivity and quality, which can meet the demand for production volume and equipment restrictions.
