PURPOSE:To prepare a bifid bacteria multiplication-stimulating agent containing a lactobionic acid comprising the combination product of galactose with gluconic acid as an active ingredient, having high assimilation selectivity for the bifid bacteria, and useful as a bifid bacteria multiplication-stimulating agent for culture media, foods, drinks, medicines, etc. CONSTITUTION:The bifidbacteria multiplication-stimulating agent contains lactobionic acid represented by O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-4)-D-gluconic acid as an active ingredient. The lactobionic acid is obtained by allowing a microorganism such as Pseudomonas graveolens having a lactose dehydrogenase activity to act on lactose as a substrate. The lactobionic acid is also obtained by oxidizing the lactose with bromine, etc. The stimulating agent is preferably added to a culture medium in an amount of approximately 0.1-10wt.%, and is ingested at a dose of 0.05-2g/kg body weight/d as a food, a drink, a medicine or a feed for men or livestock.

ースはビフィズス菌のみに選択的に利用される物質でな
い。また、ビフィズス菌の増殖促進効果を有する物質と
して、シュークロースにフラクトースが結合したフラク
トオリゴ糖、ラクトースにガラクトースが結合したガラ
クトオリゴ糖、グルコシド結合でグルコースが連なった
イソマルトオリゴ糖などが知られており、さらに、ビフ
ィズス菌のみが特異的に資化する糖類の開発が求められ
ている現状にある。

活性を有することを見出し、本発明を完成するに至っ
た。したがって、本発明は、ラクトビオン酸を有効成分
とするビフィズス菌増殖促進剤を提供することを課題と

ンスターチ1,232g、結晶セルロース100g、カルボキシメ
チルセルロースカルシウム 68g及びラクトビオン酸 (和
光純薬社製) 400gをニーダーで混合した後、水 500mlを
噴霧滴下しながら混練した。次に、この混練物を20メッ
シュのスクリーンをセットした単軸オシレーターで造粒
し、流動槽型乾燥機で乾燥した。そして、この乾燥品を
フラッシュミルで粉砕し、整粒して打錠用粉体を得た。
この打錠用粉体に滑沢剤としてショ糖脂肪酸エステル 8
0gをV型混合機で混合した後、直径11mmの杵をセットし
た錠剤機で打錠し、平均重量 0.35gのタブレットを得
た。

t Extract 5g、生理食塩水30ml、馬血液10ml、Pepsin 2
00mg、塩化カルシウム28mg、硫酸マンガン48mg、リン酸
二水素カリウム 440mg、炭酸水素ナトリウム 400mg、塩
化ナトリウム80mg、 L-Cystein-HCl水和物 500mg、精製
水 1,000ml)を用い、それ以外の菌株については、LB
培地 (Bacto-Liver浸出液 1,000ml、Proteose Peptone
10g、Trypticase 5g 、Yeast Extract 3g、Tween80 1

高い選択資化性を示すことが判った。
