2. Description of the Related Art The air in the room is human breath, cigarette smoke,
It is said that it is polluted by various dirt such as dust, and in order to create a comfortable environment in the room, fresh outside air of 30% or more of the air conditioning air volume is required. However, if fresh air is taken in as it is by a ventilation device or the like when introducing the outside air, there is a problem that cold dry occurs and a space for installing a device on the ceiling surface is newly required. Therefore, a method is adopted in which an outside air introduction duct is connected to the air conditioner to take in fresh outside air from the air conditioner. FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal structure of an air conditioner having a conventional outside air introduction function disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 63-254334. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an air conditioner main body, which is provided with a suction opening 2 opening in the central portion of the lower surface and an air outlet 3 opening along each side of the periphery, and 5 is provided in the central portion of the main body by a motor mounting leg 6. An air circulation fan 4 is fixedly attached to the tip of the shaft of the motor that is supported. A heat exchanger 7 is provided on the outer circumference of the air circulation fan 4, and is attached to the ceiling surface of the main body. Reference numeral 11 denotes a main body built-in duct that connects the knockout 8 provided on the side surface of the main body and the suction port 2, and the knockout 8 is connected to an outside air introduction duct 9 that accommodates the booster fan 10.

Next, the operation will be described. When the air circulation fan 4 is driven by the motor 5, the indoor air in the room equipped with the air conditioner and the outside air are sucked into the air conditioner body 1 from the suction port 2. At this time, since the outside air is sucked through the outside air introduction duct 9, the knockout 8 and the main body built-in duct 11, a pressure loss due to the air passage resistance of the outside air introduction duct 9 and the main body built-in duct 11 occurs, but this pressure loss is caused by the booster fan. Complemented by driving 10. The sucked air is sent out in the circumferential direction by the air circulation fan 4, and after passing through the heat exchanger 7 to be heat-exchanged, is drawn out from the air conditioner main body 1 to the room through the air outlet 3.

In the conventional air conditioner, when fresh outside air is introduced into a room to be air-conditioned, the outside air introduction duct 9 is knocked out in the air conditioner body 1.
It was done by attaching to. The knockout 8 is connected to the suction port 2 and the duct 11 with a built-in main body, but it is necessary to make the size of the air conditioner main body 1 as small as possible because of the space to be embedded in the ceiling. Since there is not enough room to secure a sufficient space for the main body built-in duct 11, sufficient outside air cannot be introduced, and a large pressure loss in the built-in duct 11 causes a large noise. There is also a method of mounting the outside air intake box 17 under the main body 1 as shown in FIG. 9 in order to secure the duct size, but this is costly and the space for embedding in the ceiling is equal to the outside air intake box 17. Only need extra. Further, since the outside air is taken in through the outside air introduction duct 9 and the main body built-in duct 11, it is necessary to provide the booster fan 10 to compensate for the pressure loss corresponding to the air path resistance, and the power supply wiring to supply the booster fan 10 is It had to be separated from the air conditioner. Further, when the booster fan 10 is driven, the driving sound is transmitted to the main body 1 through the outside air introducing duct 9 and noise is generated.

The present invention has been made in order to solve the above problems, and it is not necessary to provide a space for a duct with a built-in main body or an outside air intake box in the main body of an air conditioner, and a booster. The objective is to obtain an air conditioner that can quietly take in sufficient fresh air without using a fan.

In the air conditioner configured as described above, when the motor 5 is driven, the air circulation fan 4 rotates to suck indoor air from the suction port 2 and at the same time the thin outside air intake fan 12 rotates. The pressure loss in the duct 9 is supplemented and the outside air is taken in from the knockout 8. The taken-in outside air is sent out in the circumferential direction, merges with the indoor air sent by the air circulation fan 4 in the circumferential direction, undergoes heat exchange in the heat exchanger 7, and is then led out from the air outlet 3 into the room.

In the third embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the outside air intake thin fan 12 rotates to supplement the pressure loss in the duct 9 and take in outside air from the knockout 8. The taken-in outside air passes through the outside air intake fan casing 14, and the outside air outlet 16
To the central portion of the air circulation fan 4, merges with the indoor air sucked by the air circulation fan 4, is sent in the circumferential direction, and is heat-exchanged by the heat exchanger 7, and then from the outlet 3. It is led to the room.

Example 6. FIG. 6 is an external view of an embodiment in which the outside air introducing duct is attached to the main body side via the duct adapter 15, and FIG. 7 is a sectional view thereof. By doing so, the height of the ceiling can be reduced. In this case, the pressure loss becomes larger than that in the case where the outside air introduction duct 9 is directly attached to the knockout 8, and the outside air intake amount may be reduced accordingly. Therefore, in order to suppress the height as much as possible, it is necessary to make the shape wide and increase the air passage area.
