【従来の技術】産業廃棄物の燃焼式処理装置としては、
燃焼炉内に投入した廃棄物を攪拌して間欠的に移動させ
て燃焼させるバッチ方式と廃棄物を連続的に移動させて
攪拌燃焼させる連続方式があり、汚泥や果実、豆腐等の
搾滓粒状物については連続方式が適し、家庭用厨房の廃
棄物や加工業者による粗大不定の産業廃棄物について
は、間欠的なバッチ方式による燃焼手段が適している。
従来の焼却装置としては多くの処理手段による装置が提
案されて(イ)実公平2ー第45621号、(ロ)実公
平3ー第24995号、(ハ)特開平4ー第11311
5号等がある。家庭用ゴミ焼却処理装置としては上記
(イ)の実公平2ー第45621号がある。産業廃棄物
の焼却処理装置としては工場廃水等の汚泥をはじめ各種
企業より生ずる産業廃棄物の大型処理装置があるが各企
業自体が利用可能な中型焼却機についても多くの提案が
あるが燃焼によって生ずる排気ガスや焼却機の焼却能力
についての問題点が多い。従来この種のものとして、図
3のコーンロータリーキルンを利用した焼却炉がある
が、バケットコンベア1より炉体内に送入した汚泥はホ
ッパの押込スクリュー3を介して投入した産業廃棄物を
自回転するキルン4と燃焼バーナー9を介して攪拌燃焼
させダクト5に接続したサイクロン6より燃焼ガスを排
気し、同時に下部の集塵部7より灰を取出す機構のもの
が利用されている。8は途中の灰出しスクリューであ
る。上記装置はキルンを自回動させ汚泥、果実の搾滓等
を燃焼して灰化させるものであるが、廃棄物が水分を含
んだ粒状体であるためキルンの回転攪拌によっても粒子
が塊粒のダマ状態となって残留し、充分な燃焼による灰
化処理に問題がある。又スクリュー軸を利用したキルン
機構についても燃焼作用が不十分で機能上改良すべき問
題が残されている。
