Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the filtrability of a filtrating drum excellent for a long time by providing the cylindrical filtrating drum in the inside of a side case in such a way as to be rotatable around a core axis parallel with the longer direction of the case. CONSTITUTION:Coolant including flowing chips flows in the inside of a side case 36, and it is filtrated by filter medium 41 so as to be moved in the inside of a filtrating drum 40. In this case, since the lower surface side of the filtrating drum 40 is rotated while being directed toward a housing section 17, chips having sank at the bottom section of the side case 36 are taken out by raking ribs provided for the outer circumference of the filtrating drum 40 so as to be delivered toward the bottom section of the housing section, and concurrently chips are prevented from being adhered onto filter medium by the action of centrifugal force. Here, the filtrating drum 40 is set in the inside of the side case 36 located at the side of the housing section 17. Coolant can thereby be filtrated in the inside of side case 36 where chips are not stirred, filtrability can thereby be stabilized for a long time, and an entrance to the housing section 17 can also be enlarged.

In the above-mentioned conventional apparatus, since the filter drum 10 is arranged in the housing 2 into which the coolant containing the chips flows, the filter drum 10 is easily clogged. However, there is a drawback that the filtration function is deteriorated. That is, the chips are agitated in the accommodating portion 2 due to the inflow of the coolant and the circulation of the scraper conveyor 5, and the chips in the floating state adhere to the filter material of the filtration drum 10. Furthermore, if the filter drum 10 is present in the housing portion 2, the position and size of the coolant receiving port 2a containing chips are limited,
There was a drawback that the model used was limited. It is an object of the present invention to obtain a new chip removing device that solves the above drawbacks.

On the other hand, the coolant containing the chips discharged from the machine tool into the accommodating portion 17 flows into the side case 36 through the communication hole 35 in the side portion, is filtered by the filter medium 41, and is then filtered in the filter drum 40. Flow into the return case 53 from the cylindrical shafts 42, 42, and the return case 53
Is pumped out again to the machine tool. In this case, the lower surface side of the filtration drum 40 is the housing portion 1
Since it is rotated in the seven directions, the scraps that have settled on the bottom of the side case 36 are fed toward the bottom of the housing 17 by the scraping ribs 40b provided on the outer circumference of the filtration drum 40, and the centrifugal force acts. Prevents chips from adhering to the filter medium 41. Further, the clean coolant discharged from the discharge pipe 51 collides with the inner surface of the filter medium 41 facing the communication hole 35, and the chips that tend to adhere to the filter medium 41 are directed toward the communication hole 35 (toward the accommodating portion 17). It will be pushed out.

Since the filter drum 40 is provided in the side case 36 arranged on the side of the accommodating portion 40, the coolant can be filtered in the side case 36 in which the chips are not agitated. The performance is stable for a long period of time, the receiving port 17a of the accommodating portion 40 can be enlarged, and it becomes easy to connect the outlet port of the coolant containing the chips from the machine tool. Further, since the chain guide 30 is formed of a plate material and is separated from the side plate 16b of the case 16 so that the chain 26 is guided by the end face thereof, chips do not accumulate on the chain guide 30.
The wear of the chain guide 30 and the chain 26 is reduced, and the scraper 27 and the bottom plate 16a of the case 16 are reduced.
It is possible to accurately maintain the interval between and to prevent chips from being caught between them, and to prevent wear of these chips.

As is apparent from the above description, the present invention can maintain the filtration performance of the filtration drum well over a long period of time, and prevent the scraper conveyor from being worn or damaged to improve the chip removal performance. The effect that it can be maintained satisfactorily throughout is exhibited. Further, the structure of the chain guide is simplified and the cost is reduced.
