2. Description of the Related Art In an automobile, a wire harness that is wired from the outside of an engine room or the like to the inside of a vehicle is apt to be exposed to water outside the vehicle, and water may be flooded inside the wiring harness. When the water infiltrated into the wire harness is generated in the vehicle cabin when the vehicle is running, and if the negative pressure or the indoor route is low, it is transmitted to the vehicle cabin side through the inside of the wire harness due to the height difference, and is connected to the vehicle cabin side. This causes corrosion on the connector and also causes the problem of dripping water into the passenger compartment.

Therefore, various waterproof measures have been taken for the wire harness that is laid in a water-exposed area such as the engine room where water is likely to splash. As one of them, a filler is injected into a portion where the grommet is inserted. Then, the gap between the electric wires and the gap between the electric wires and the inner peripheral surface of the grommet are filled with a filler to stop water.

As shown in FIG. 5, the grommet usually has a large diameter portion 1 having a locking groove 1a for locking the vehicle body formed on the outer peripheral surface and a large opening 1b at one end of the large diameter portion 1. The reduced diameter portion 2 that is provided with a continuous reduced diameter portion 2 and injects the filler 3 from the large opening portion 1b to tightly fit the wire harness (electric wire group) W.
Has penetrated into. In the grommet G having the above-described shape, since the volume of the expanded diameter portion 1 is large, the amount of the filler 3 is large and the cost is high. While not penetrating into the, there is a risk of hardening in the state of being accumulated on the expanded diameter portion 1 side.

The attachment of the grommets G and G'to the wire harness W and the filling operation into the grommets G and G'shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 both constitute the wire harness W in the first step. The wire harness W is bundled with the electric wire group and bound with a tape or the like, and the reduced diameter portion 2 of the grommets G and G ′ is expanded by a jig (not shown) about 4 to 7 times in the second step. And in the third step, the tape 4 is wound around and fixed to the tip of the reduced diameter portion 2 and the wire harness W so that the grommets G, G ′ are located at the predetermined positions of the wire harness W, and the fourth step Then, with the large opening 1b of the expanded diameter portion 1 of the grommet G, G'standing upright as the upper surface,
The filler 3 is injected into the large opening 1b or the liquid reservoir 1c from a nozzle of an injector (not shown), and the injected filler 3 is cured in the final fifth step.

As described above, when the filler 3 is injected from the nozzle into the grommets G and G ', the wire harness W of 1 m or more is projected above and below the grommets G and G', respectively. In addition, the injection work is difficult to do,
Particularly, in the grommet G ′ shown in FIG. 6, the liquid reservoir 1
Since the peripheral wall portion of the expanded diameter portion 1 is located on the outer periphery of c, the expanded diameter portion 1 becomes a hindrance when moving the nozzle and the like, and there is a problem that the filling work of the filler 3 is very difficult. is there. Further, in the case of FIG. 6, since the inner diameter side of the expanded diameter portion 1 becomes a space after being attached to the through hole 5a of the partition plate 5, this portion may be elastically deformed and fall off.

Since the step of injecting the filler 3 into the grommets G and G'is performed after the first step to the third step as described above, it is necessary to perform it on the line of the assembly process of the wire harness W. was there. As described above, due to the limitation of the process organization, it is impossible to perform the injection process of the grommets G and G'on another line or another place.

In addition, recently, as the above-mentioned filler, the viscosity at the time of injection is low, the permeability between electric wires is good, and
A two-component filler that is fast-curing and has no risk of flowing out from the tip of the diameter-reduced portion 2 and permeating to unnecessary areas is widely used. However, if this mixed solution is not filled into grommet G, G'quickly, there is a problem of hardening, and it is preferable to inject into grommet G, G'collectively within a short time. As described above, when the wire harness W is assembled on the assembly line, there is a problem in that the filling process of the filler 3 is an intermittent work because the required time is required from the first process to the third process.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a grommet in which the outer peripheral surface of the inner member and the inner peripheral surface of the outer member are provided with concave and convex portions for positioning which are engaged with each other.
For example, an annular protrusion is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the inner member while an annular recess is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the outer member. Further, in claim 3, the outer member comprises a diameter-enlarged portion whose outer peripheral surface is enlarged and a diameter-reduced portion continuous with one end of the diameter-enlarged portion, and the locking groove is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the diameter-enlarged portion. On the other hand, a grommet is provided in which, on the other hand, one end of the inner member is provided with a flange portion that is engaged with the end surface of the expanded diameter portion of the outer member. Further, in claim 4, there is provided a conical cylindrical grommet in which the inner member and the outer member are gradually reduced in diameter from one end to the other end.

Further, according to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a grommet in which a two-component filler is used as a filler to be injected into the inner member while being inserted into the wire harness. The two-component filler is composed of a main agent and a curing agent, a polyether polyol or the like is used as the main agent, and a fatty isocyanate is preferably used as the curing agent. Tolylene diisocyanate, methylene diisocyanate, diphenyl Methane or the like can also be used. Needless to say, the filler used in the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned two-component filler.

In the grommet according to the first aspect, first, the wire group of the wire harness is inserted into the inner member, and the filler is injected from one end of the inner member. The inner member, in which the filler is hardened and the electric wire group is inserted in a water-proof state, is inserted into the outer member. At that time, since the inner diameter of the outer member is set to be the same or smaller than the outer diameter of the inner member,
The inner member receives a compressive force from the outer member to obtain a proper adhesion, so to speak, it is pressed and fixed.
As described above, since the filler is injected into the inner member, there is no peripheral wall portion of the outer member that interferes with the injection, and the injection work is facilitated. Moreover, since the attachment to the outer member is performed after the filler is injected, the injection work does not necessarily have to be performed in the assembly process of the wire harness. Therefore, the injection work can be performed collectively, and particularly when the two-component filler is used as the filler as described in claim 5, the problem of curing the mixed liquid can be solved.

Further, as described in claim 2, when the concave and convex portions are provided and locked between the fitted inner member and outer member, the inner member and the outer member can be fitted and fixed at a predetermined position. The locking prevents the disengagement. Further, as described in claim 3, when the flange portion projecting from one end of the inner member is locked to the end surface of the outer member, a tensile force acts on the wire harness fixed to the inner member via the filler. However, the inner member is locked to the outer member and does not separate from the outer member.

When the inner member and the outer member are conical, the inner member is slid from the large diameter side of the outer member to the small diameter side of the inner member when the inner member is inserted into the outer member. By inserting it, you can insert it without requiring a large insertion force,
Therefore, it is not necessary to expand the outer member with the jig.

Furthermore, when a two-component filler is used as the filler as described in claim 5, it has a low viscosity at the time of filling, so that it has good permeability between electric wires and is rapidly cured. Therefore, the filler injected from the upper end of the inner member can be prevented from flowing out from the lower end of the inner member to an unnecessary region.

This grommet comprises an outer member 11 and an inner member 12. The outer member 11 is formed by integrally molding the expanded diameter portion 11a and the reduced diameter portion 11b, and for example, an elastic material such as rubber can be used. The inner diameter of the outer member 11 is constant in the axial direction, and is smaller than the outer diameter of the inner member 12 described below.
A locking groove 11c is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the expanded diameter portion 11a. The locking groove 11c is configured to lock on the peripheral edge of the through hole 10a and to mount the grommet on the partition plate 10. Further, on the inner peripheral surface of the outer member 11 on the side of the expanded diameter portion 11a, a pair of annular recessed portions 11d are provided side by side.

The inner member 12 has a substantially cylindrical shape, and is integrally molded of rubber like the outer member 11, and is made of a material having a hardness higher than that of the outer member 11.
The inner member 12 has a constant inner and outer diameter in the axial direction,
A flange portion 12a that projects outward in the radial direction is provided on one end side, and a pair of annular convex portions 12b that are engaged with the annular concave portions 11d are arranged in parallel on the outer peripheral surface in the vicinity thereof (FIG. 2). reference). On the other hand, at the other end of the inner member 12,
The closed portion 12d has a through hole 12c through which the wire harness W is inserted at the center.

The grommet having the above structure is attached to the wire harness W as follows. That is,
First, the wire harness W is inserted through the inner member 12 to position the inner member 12 at a predetermined position. In this case, the inner member 12 is expanded by a jig (not shown). Since the through hole 12c formed in the end surface of the inner member 12 is formed smaller than the outer diameter of the wire harness W, it is temporarily fixed.

Next, the flange portion 12 of the inner member 12
The filler 13 is injected from the opening of the inner member 12 on the side of the flange portion 12a with the side a standing upright. In this case, the inner member 1 is attached to the outer peripheral portion of the wire harness W.
Since only 2 is located, the workability is improved without hindering the movement of the filler injection nozzle (not shown). The injected filler 13 has a high permeability, fills the gaps between the electric wires forming the wire harness W without leaks, and has a rapid hardening property, and therefore flows downward through the through hole 12c of the closing portion 12d. There is no such thing.

As is apparent from the above description, according to the grommet according to the invention described in claim 1, the wire harness is inserted into the inner member which is different from the outer member directly attached to the partition plate of the automobile. Since the filler is injected in this state, unlike the conventional case, the diameter-expanded portion does not interfere with the movement of the filler injection nozzle and the like, and the injection operation can be performed easily. In addition, the amount of the filler to be used is small, and this filling work can be performed in advance separately from the other steps, resulting in good work efficiency. In particular, it is convenient for a two-component filler having fast setting property. Furthermore, since the inner diameter of the outer member is made smaller than the outer diameter of the inner member, proper adhesion can be obtained between them and the outer member is less likely to fall off.
