に説明する。図1は本発明による空気調和機の室内機の

た断面図である。同室内機の外部筐体としての筐体1は
背面を形成するベース2と前面を形成する前面パネル3
とにより構成される。同ベース2は内部に上部が後方に
傾斜した再熱器4とその下部に、ほぼ垂直に立設された
蒸発器4aを上下2段に支持するとともに、同蒸発器4
aの背面にはモータにて駆動される円筒形のクロスフロ
ーファン5を回動自在に支持し、同クロスフローファン
5の下部には吹出口3cを形成している。同ベース2の
前記蒸発器4の背面部は前方への、くびれ部2aが形成
されており同室内機を壁面に設置の際は間隙が生ずるよ
うになっている。同前面パネル3は上面と前面に格子状
の吸込口3a、3bが形成されている。前記再熱器4と
前記蒸発器4aの側面よりは配管7及び配管8が突設さ
れ前記ベース2のくびれ部背面に迂回して絞り機構6を

方、熱交換器側面に配管を延ばすスペースを確保するこ
とにより同熱交換器より発生する冷媒音を低減し、低騒
