PURPOSE:To eliminate the smoke and odor of a combustion gas which is generated from waste in a short period of time by a method wherein a heating element in which a combustion gas stays, and through which the combustion gas can flow to a gas combustion chamber is provided, and the temperature of the combustion gas is raised. CONSTITUTION:In an incineration furnace main body 1, a primary combustion chamber 2 to incinerate waste, secondary combustion chamber 3 and tertiary combustion chamber 4 which are gas combustion chambers to burn a combustion gas generated from the combustion chamber 2 are provided in order from the bottom in such a manner that they communicate with each other. Then, gas retention chambers 5 and 6 which communicate with respective combustion chambers are provided. った燃焼ガスを満遍なく昇温させることができる。以
下、三次燃焼室4においても同様の作用を繰り返し、燃
焼ガスの煙や臭いは完全に消去された状態で煙突11か
ら排出される。尚、上記実施例では加熱板の素材をセラ
ミックとしているが、これに限定されるものではなくキ
ャスタブルセメントや金属でもよく、耐火レンガ程度の
耐熱性を有するものが好ましい。また、加熱板をハニカ
ム構造の網状に形成しているが、これに限定されるもの
ではなく流通孔10aの断面形状は円形や四角形でもよ
い、しかしながら燃焼ガスと加熱板との接触面積の広さ
及び流通抵抗を考慮すれば上述した六角形等の多角形に
するのが好ましい。さらに、加熱体を加熱板をバーナー
の火炎により加熱する方法を採っているが、これに限定
されるものではなく、通電等により加熱体自身が放熱す
