Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a container with an excellent heat sealing strength and easily unpack the container by a method wherein a polyolefin resin layer is formed on one side of a carton material and a polyolefin resin layer containing a modified silicone resin is formed on the other side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A laminated carton 1 has a carton material 2 as the core and a surface layer 3 and a rear surface layer 4 formed on the carton material. The surface layer 3 consists of a polyolefin synthetic resin containing alpha-olefin adduct of polymethyl hydrogen siloxane (modified silicone compound). A polyolefin resin is used in the rear surface layer 4. The laminated carton 1 intended for use as a container is provided with a perforation or partly cut line 5 at the opposite end part of a tab 6. The laminated carton 1 is made into a cylindrical shape and its end parts are overlapped and heat sealed together to form a cylindrical container 7. To unpack the container 7, the tab is held and pulled with the fingers to gradually unseal the container starting with the upper sealed part in oroer to take out its contents.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, frozen desserts in which a cylindrical container which can be easily disassembled is filled with ice cream, sorbet and the like are commercially available. Such a frozen dessert can be eaten by peeling off one end of the container, dismantling the cylindrical container, and taking out the contents to which the stick is attached. Such a container consists of a laminated carton with cardboard covered on both sides with a hydrophobic synthetic resin. Laminated cartons have one end superposed on the other,
The overlap is fused. The container can be disassembled and peeled by adjusting the fusion strength of this fusion portion.

However, such adjustment of the fusion strength of the fusion zone is considerably difficult, and uniform and proper fusion strength cannot be obtained. If the fusion strength is too weak, the contents leak out, while if the fusion strength is too strong, it is difficult to disassemble the container, and it is especially difficult for infants and children to take out the contents successfully.

Further, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 60-28592 discloses a blank for an easily dismantled container in which a peelable layer made of a thermoplastic resin is provided between a surface layer made of a polyolefin resin and a carton material. . However, even with this method, the peeling effect is not stable depending on the processing conditions and use conditions of the peelable layer. That is, in this container blank, the surface layer of the carton material has an interface peeling between the surface layer and the peelable layer as compared with the fusion strength obtained by heat sealing with the polyolefin synthetic resin forming the back surface layer. It is necessary that the strength is weaker. Therefore, depending on the combination of the polyolefin-based synthetic resin layer forming the surface layer and the polyolefin-based synthetic resin forming the back surface layer, the thickness of each of these layers, and the surface layer in contact with the peelable layer, it is used as the peelable layer. The type and layer thickness of the thermoplastic synthetic resin layer, which is different, changes.

The polyolefin-based synthetic resin which is a base polymer to which such a modified silicone compound is added is a polyolefin-based resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, 4-methylpentene-1, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, or a mixture thereof. A synthetic resin is used. Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is particularly preferable from the viewpoints of heat-sealing property and peeling property.

The amount of the modified silicone resin compounded with respect to these polyolefin resins is 1 to 10% by weight, preferably 1 to 5% by weight. If the amount of the modified silicone resin is less than the above range, the peeling property between the surface layer 3 and the carton material 2 at the time of disassembling the container is not sufficient, and the carton material is internally broken to cause paper peeling and become ugly. On the other hand, when the amount of the modified silicone resin compounded is larger than the above range, the front surface layer and the back surface layer are easily separated from each other, which is inconvenient for molding the container and storing the product.

On the other hand, the back surface layer 4 is made of polyolefin resin. As the polyolefin resin, any of the resins listed as the base polymer for the surface layer can be used, but low density polyethylene is particularly preferable as in the above.

As shown in FIG. 2, the laminated carton 1 for a container of the present invention is preferably provided with cuts 5 such as perforations and half cuts at the end opposite to the knob 6. These cuts 5 may be provided at two or more locations in parallel. These cuts 5 are preferably discontinuous perforations so that the surface layer does not peel off from the substrate during the punching process of the laminated carton for a container or the molding process into a container. It should be noted that these cuts 5 may penetrate the surface layer 3 of the laminated carton for container.

In the laminated carton for containers of the present invention, the interfacial peel strength between one of these heat-sealed front surface layer-back surface layer and the carton base material is weaker than the fusion bonding strength between these layers. FIG. 4 is an enlarged sectional view showing the dismantling of the container. As shown in FIG. 4, the surface layer 3a at the end of the container on the side opposite to the knob 6 is heat-sealed to the back surface layer 4b at the end of the knob 6, and at the interface with the carton material 2 starting from the cut 5. It is peeled off. Although there is one break in FIG. 4, it may be two as shown in FIG.

In this way, fusion of the tubular container formed from the laminated carton for a container and peeling when dismantling the produced container are performed at different interfaces of the laminated carton, and the strength of the fusion portion is improved. And the peeling force required for dismantling can be set separately. Therefore, the container of the present invention has a certain strength that prevents the contents from spilling, and can be easily disassembled when taking out.
