Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a construction method for marine spherical tank requiring less capital investment and contributing to work efficiency by constructing an impromptu building on a surface plate via the use of a tank cover. CONSTITUTION:A tank skirt is installed on board and welded to a hull. On the other hand, a tank support member 8 is set on a surface plate 7 on the land, and a tank cover pedestal 12 is installed in advance on the member 8 at the prescribed height, so as to surround a tank block SE to be erected at a post-process. Then, a southern hemisphere structure S and an equatorial ring E are sequentially laid on the pedestal 12. A tank cover 6 to be finally fixed to the hull is placed on the pedestal 12, thereby constructing an impromptu building A so as to cover the upper section or side of the tank block SE. The building A, after a block joint 13 therein is welded, is installed on board and secured to the hull via the tank skirt. Then, after a northern hemisphere structure is erected on the tank block SE and the tank cover 6 previously used for the building is installed on board, the joint of the northern hemisphere structure and the tank block SE is jointed, thereby constructing a spherical tank.

2. Description of the Related Art The construction of a spherical tank to be mounted on an LNG carrier is such that the tank body is made of a special metal such as aluminum alloy.
Construction must be done in a separate room so that metal powder, etc. does not adversely affect the quality. In addition, the tank blocks installed on board (usually divided into the southern hemisphere, the equatorial ring, and the northern hemisphere) should be as large as possible in order to reduce the amount of work on board, but they are the size of the building,
Currently, it is limited by the capacity of the crane.

Therefore, the following two methods are roughly classified as the conventional construction method of the spherical tank for ships. One is to build a spherical tank by joining the southern hemisphere, the equatorial ring, and the northern hemisphere in a huge building like a dedicated factory for manufacturing spherical tanks, and at the same time complete the skirt part. After that, it is a method of loading them all together on a ship using a large crane. This method is the most efficient construction method because it requires the least amount of work on board, but it requires a huge building, a large capacity crane, etc., and requires a large amount of capital investment for the equipment.

Secondly, there are construction methods described in JP-B-61-45594 and JP-B-61-45743. FIGS. 7 (a) to 7 (e) show the conventional process of constructing a spherical tank over time from the contents described in the above two publications. That is, this is a method in which each tank block of a spherical tank is manufactured in a factory building, then individually mounted in a ship and sequentially joined in the ship. First, a circular tank support member 30 is temporarily set on the bottom of the ship ( Figure (a)), on which the southern hemisphere S (Figure (b)) is mounted, and then, although not shown, each block of the tank such as the equator, the pipe tower, the northern hemisphere, and the dome is mounted, and the skirt is temporarily mounted.

In this case, as described in Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 61-45594, the welding work of the joint between the blocks is carried out by temporarily mounting the tank cover each time to form a building on the hull, and performing the welding work in the building. There is. For example, Figure (c) shows the situation when the southern hemisphere S and the equatorial ring E are joined.
Weld the ship by covering the inside of the ship with 1. After that, the tank cover 31 is once removed and the northern hemisphere N is mounted, and then the skirt K is temporarily mounted and the tank cover 31 is remounted.
(Figure (d)), the equatorial ring E and the northern hemisphere N are joined to complete the spherical tank. After completing the spherical tank, lift the skirt part with a jack (not shown) to float the whole tank, disassemble the tank support 30 (Fig. (A)) set on the bottom of the ship and remove it from the narrow gap. Go down and put the tank in the normal position, then fix the skirt K and the hull H (Fig. (E)).

Since the spherical tank is supported at the equatorial part, a temporary tank support material for supporting the weight of the tank is required until the tank skirt supporting the equatorial part is mounted on the bottom of the ship. It is necessary to put the jack in the skirt to float the whole tank, and to remove the tank support from the narrow bottom of the ship, disassemble it into small pieces and remove it. Therefore, additional work such as the addition of a reinforcing member for the jack-up part of the skirt and the repair work of the paint by fixing (welding) the skirt to the hull were delayed in the subsequent process, resulting in poor work efficiency.

In the above embodiment, the tank block for the southern hemisphere and the equator ring was first completed in consideration of the crane capacity assuming a large spherical tank.
If the crane capacity is sufficient, or if the spherical tank is small and the total weight is small, the yagura 9 is raised from the state of FIG. 2 and the northern hemisphere is also mounted without the tank cover 6 on the surface plate. The spherical tank itself may be completed. Also, the skirt part on the hull side can be installed at the same time when the work is done on the surface plate. In short, it is possible to build a building for tank block welding work by constructing a building on the surface plate using the tank cover installed on the ship, without any special capital investment. Good. If the entire skirt (or part of the skirt as in the above embodiment) is mounted on a ship, welding work in a narrow ship with a poor working environment can be reduced, contributing to shortening the construction period. .

[Effects of the Invention] An instant building can be formed on the surface plate by using a tank cover or the like that is finally attached to the hull, and the southern hemisphere and the equatorial block are joined therein. The quality can be ensured, and the capital investment is much smaller than in the case of permanently building a huge building. Also, unlike onboard, the work is done on the surface plate on land, so the working environment is good and efficient.

After assembling the southern hemisphere and the equator on the surface plate, the tank support is not required on the bottom of the ship because it is joined to the skirt inside the ship, and the jack up / down work for its disassembly and removal can be omitted. Therefore, it is not necessary to reinforce the tank skirt. In addition, the welding of the skirt and the hull is also performed in the initial process before mounting the tank, so the paint repair work becomes easy. Due to the above effects, the tank construction period can be significantly shortened.
