2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, most commercial products as household softening agents use a quaternary ammonium salt represented by di (hardened tallow alkyl) dimethylammonium chloride as a main component. In some cases, poor dispersion in water occurred, and the softening base unevenly adhered to the cloth, resulting in uneven softness, and problems such as gel-like substances adhering to fibers. For this reason, JP-A-52-1
As disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 148295, attempts have been made to improve the dispersibility in water, but it has been insufficient. Furthermore, since the number of fully automatic washing machines has increased in recent years and the opportunities for automatically adding a softening agent have increased, a composition having good dispersibility in water has been further desired.

The amines of the above general formulas (I) and (II) are neutralized with a commonly used acid to give an amine-based soft base. Examples of the acid include inorganic salts such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, and organic acids such as benzoic acid, citric acid and polymeric acrylic acid. The amine-based softening agent as the component (a) is preferably added in the softening agent composition of the present invention in an amount of 3 to 30% by weight, and preferably 5 to 15% by weight. If the content is less than 3% by weight, the effect of imparting flexibility may be poor, while if it exceeds 30% by weight, the softener composition may gel and may not be a uniform composition.
Examples of the inorganic electrolyte as the component (b) include chlorides such as sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride, and sulfates such as sodium sulfate and potassium sulfate. 1 selected from the group consisting of these One kind or two or more kinds are used. The inorganic electrolyte as the component (b) is 0.2 to 20 with respect to the amine-based soft base as the component (a).
It can be blended in a weight percentage, and preferably in a range of 0.5 to 10 wt%. If the content of the component (a) is less than 0.2% by weight, the effect of improving the dispersibility is weak, while if it exceeds 10% by weight, the stability of the composition is deteriorated and separation occurs, which is not preferable. .
