Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorant having a high deodorizing effect on either of ammonia or DADS as an offensive odor component in the stockbreeding industry, at a sewage disposal facility or the like, and yet having a low price and high safety by drying a peanut shell to the prescribed moisture content and further pulverizing the shell to such a size as equal to or below the prescribed grain size. CONSTITUTION:For the manufacture of this deodorant, peanut crops are harvested and the seeds thereof (peanuts) are removed. The resultant shells are used as the main components of the deodorant. The shells are dried with a hot air drier to a moisture content equal to or less than 10wt.% and, then, pulverized to a size of 5-mess pass or below, thereby producing the required deodorant. The deodorant itself is tasteless and dry, and has an excellent deodorizing effect on an offensive odor component such as ammonia and DADS (diallyldisulfide). The powder state of the deodorant contained in a vessel or the like, when placed in deodorized space under a ventilated condition, is effective for the removal of offensive odor. Furthermore, the deodorant is made to have a deodorizing effect on a sewage treatment bath or the like at a sewage disposal facility or in the stockbreeding industry via a direct application thereto.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a deodorant having an excellent deodorizing action against malodorous components such as ammonia and diallyl disulfide (hereinafter abbreviated as "DADS").

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, bad odors derived from excrements in livestock industry and human waste treatment plants, odors of factory waste liquid, and the like have been a big social problem. Also, at the home level and the workplace level, when the space is sealed and the air conditioning is artificially managed, the reaction of people to odor becomes sensitive,
A major issue is how to eliminate the bad odor. As such malodorous components, ammonia, which is often contained in human waste, etc., and DADS, which is contained in halitosis generated when garlic, onion, etc. are eaten, are known.

As the deodorant having a deodorizing effect on the odorous components such as ammonia and DADS, activated carbon, zeolite, which adsorbs and encloses the odorous components to deodorize them physically,
Various substances have been proposed, such as dextrin, various reagents such as acid solutions and alkaline solutions that chemically neutralize and absorb odor components, and various fragrances that functionally make odors less sensitive to odor.

However, each of these conventional deodorants has the following drawbacks. That is, since many of them are chemically synthesized, and the deodorant itself has a unique odor, for safety or flavor,
Many cannot be added directly to food. Also,
Most of them are inexpensive and excellent in deodorizing effect, because they have a high deodorizing effect and are expensive, or they are cheap and must be used in large quantities. Or, even if it is effective against ammonia, DADS is not effective (or vice versa), and there are few that can be used for various purposes.
As described above, conventional deodorants have advantages and disadvantages, have a high deodorizing effect, are inexpensive, are safe, and have excellent deodorizing ability even when a combination of malodorous sources has not been obtained. Is the reality.

In order to achieve the above object, the deodorant of the present invention is mainly composed of peanut hulls dried to a water content of 10% by weight or less and ground to 5 mesh pass or less. Take the configuration. In addition, in this invention, "to be a subject" is intended to include a case where the whole is made up of only the subject.

That is, the present inventors recall that in order to obtain a safe deodorant that can be added to foods, it is most preferable to apply a natural product existing in the natural world,
We have earnestly studied. As a result, they have found that a pulverized product obtained by drying and pulverizing the peanut shells remaining after taking out peanuts to some extent exerts an excellent deodorizing effect on both odor components, ammonia and DADS. Although the peanut shells have been conventionally reused as compost or cattle feed after taking out peanuts, most of them have been disposed of, and there is an advantage that the raw material cost is low. Have.

As the peanuts for removing the shells, various peanuts such as Valencia, Virginia, Spanish and the like can be used, and are not limited to the place of production or the size of fruit. The peanut shells from which the seeds have been removed are not used as they are, but must be dried after washing with water so that the water content is 10% by weight (hereinafter abbreviated as “%”) or less. This is to ensure that the peanut shells are not subject to spoilage and contamination during storage, distribution and processing. The drying method is a conventionally known appropriate method. For example, 1 kg of peanut shell, 100 ℃ × 6
By applying a hot air dryer under the condition of 0 minutes, a dried product having a water content of 6 to 8% can be obtained.

The peanut shells used in the deodorant of the present invention must be crushed to a fineness of 5 mesh pass or less. If the mesh size is larger than 5 mesh, the internal structure of the shell is insufficiently crushed and exposed, and the deodorizing effect is low, which is not practical.

The deodorant composed of the ground peanut shell pulverized product thus obtained is itself tasteless and odorless and has an excellent deodorizing effect on odorous components such as ammonia and DADS. Therefore, an excellent deodorizing effect is exhibited only by filling the container or the like with this powder-shaped deodorant in a state where air permeability is maintained and placing the deodorant in the space where the deodorant should be eliminated.

On the other hand, the deodorant can be removed by directly adding the deodorant to a treatment tank in a factory or the like for treating wastewater or a waste liquid having an ammonia odor, or a livestock excrement treatment tank in the livestock industry. You can also fulfill.

For example, since the deodorant of the present invention is derived from a natural product and is harmless to the human body, it can be added to foods such as chewing gum and candy to give a bad breath preventing gum and a bad breath preventing candy. it can. It can also be used by kneading it into a toothpaste or dispersing it in a mouthwash. In these cases, it is preferable that the shell used for the deodorant is crushed to about 300 to 500 mesh so that it does not feel uncomfortable in the mouth or is easily dispersed in the liquid.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY As described above, the deodorant of the present invention is obtained by washing the shell remaining after removing peanuts from peanuts with water, drying and pulverizing to 5 mesh or less. Excellent deodorizing effect on both deodorant components. And in the case of ammonia, 0.3 g of peanut shells is added to 1 g of ammonia water (ammonia content 28%).
In addition, 1 g of grated garlic containing DADS as a main component and 0.3 g of peanut shells can be added in a small amount to exert an excellent deodorizing effect. Furthermore, since the deodorant itself is a natural product, safe, and tasteless and odorless, it can be used as it is in foods. In addition, since waste is used, it is cheap and the manufacturing method is extremely simple.
It is very inexpensive and can be supplied in large quantities.
